CM2.1. 8700 IP connect. We want to set a phone up so it rings a number when the handset is lifted. I only found a couple of threads that mention it as PLAR. They all refer to analog sets (type 2500). I have looked through all of the docs that I have downloaded but cant even find anything about doing it with 2500s. Can this be done with a digital phone. How?

Thanks
Richard

With a analog phone you can set it up like a hot line destination. This is done in the abbreviated dialing list on the station form.

Thanks, an analog phone is all that would be needed. I have to see if they want to buy one.

Can be done with a digital phone. Create a 2500 extension with the abbreviated dialing list. On the digital phone, remove all buttons and create a bridge appearance of the 2500 extension. Hope this helps.

Clever solution.
