Can someone please help me on this. I am running BAB 11.1 on a W2k3 server. I want to place the manager on another machine (XP) for a designated user to monitor backup jobs.
My problem is that I cant access the remote server through the manager because I always get an error message regarding...
I have just installed Arcserve 11. (upgrading from 11.1) because I could only purchase the open files agent for 11.5
After the upgrade my licenses for windows and disaster recovery were "lost" (they show up as unlicensed trial) and now I cant place the original keys from 11.1 in to license the...
Hi,
Can anyone help me setup an easy way for arcserve to send job logs and / or reports in an automated fashion to e-mail recipients.
I would like to do this without using exchange.
Is this possible ?
Can you tell me if I can relocate the user profile (not just my documents) on a standalone machine to another drive
If it is possible - what do you have to do - I hope I dont have to move it and then point all my apps to the new locaton manually
Did you find a solution as yet to this.
First off, I think you should make your server the dns server and only place the ip dns add in your dns forwarders. (I think this is best practice - other can correct me if I am wrong)
Once you have done that, change the dhcp scope to reflect your server...
Well 25 pcs are more than enuff to keep track of, so i would recommend dhcp. Using the wizard isnt that difficult so ty it again, also check out sites like www.petri.co.il for help.
You can also use another device (router / dsl modem etc) to handle dhcp for network if for whatever reason you...
I dont think so. As long as you have available addreses to lease, DHCP should issue addresses to whatever asks.
I think you should check your camera software setup first and the physical cameras themselves. If that all checks out then go check your policy settings.
Remember - easy stuff first...
Are you sure its not a printer driver problem ? I had alot of horrors with a Dell (lexmark) printer over Terminal Services.
The printer would not print to correct trays, would show as offline, would not comeback online even after I restarted the spooler. My supervisor said it could prob be...
It sounds like they have either admin privs to the domain or at least admin privs to their local pc. - Are you sure these guys dont know the admin pwd you are using or at least someone who does ?
Someone could have made them admin/power user etc on their local machine
mzysk check out Daniel Petri's site
very good - http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_install_active_directory_on_windows_2003.htm
Note: - follow the 2003 AD prep tip if you are going to promote the W2k3 server.
Go to the bottom of the page to pick the manual for your specific DC promotion
Yes it did,
We believe that CA gave us some faulty info about setting us ArcServe in a different directory other thn its default location.
We re-installed ArcServe and deleted the former program folder and now everything seems fine
Can anyone please help me with any insight ?
I recent restored an identical win2k3 sp1 server by installing the OS (no ad, dhcp etc)and arcserve 11.1 and then doing a full restore from an iomega rev drive (usb)
This all seemed to go well but now arcserve hangs when i try to do a backup...
Thanks to all ho helped point me in the right direction.
- Actually reading LOJosef's reply it is a little misleading the Windows CD has to be remastered to include the drivers, it won't read the drivers from a floppy disk. -
For clarification - In a W2k3 install, the RAID and NIC drivers...
