Arcserve 11.1 - Manager - access to a remote backup server

Can someone please help me on this. I am running BAB 11.1 on a W2k3 server. I want to place the manager on another machine (XP) for a designated user to monitor backup jobs.

My problem is that I cant access the remote server through the manager because I always get an error message regarding authentication (even thought the password is blank and the username is caroot)

Is there something am missing ???

Did you do a manager only install on the XP box?

Why not just use Remote Desktop?

Yes I did a manager only install

The client doesnt want any of his staff logging onto the server (RDP)
