Can some one please help me set up Okidata 320 Printer to SX 50 System. I've tried connecting cables and programming as book says, but still doesn't seem to be working.
are you at the site of the SX-50?
If you are you can use direct connect in Hyperterminal to the SX-50.
Also tell me what you have in command 100 R14 for each bit
you are droping calls of less than 8 digits bit g as local calls will not report and also bit h is drop incomplete outgoing calls, I would change bits g and h to 0 for testing as these may be your problem as you may be using a psuedo timer or answer supervision and this would eliminate these just for our testing.
as a note the pseudo timer is in com 151-156 R3 bit h and answer supervision if provided by your Central Office is 151-156 R2 bit e. If you have answer supervision set to a 1 and have it programed in comm 100 R14 and do not receive it you will not record any calls, the supervison if you are using it must be on each trunk.
Got to head out for a couple of hours but will check back to this thread when I get back, good luck.
Yes, I've done it as soon as you told me. Still No luck...
If I use hyper terminal, Do i have to start connection each time i reboot the computer ? ...Is there anyway I can start hyper teminal connection automatically when computer reboots ?...
If either(printer/computer) one workds, I am happy.
you should be able to start a new Hyperterminal session and save it as say Mitel and configure for your serial port on your computer i.e. com 4 and set to 1200 8N1 and save. When you click on Mitel you will have the correct configuration. Have you been able to set the computer up for Hyperterminal or do you have Procom?
unless you are recording meter pulses change com 100 R14 bit d to a 0
it should say dump data or data dump then the 7772 (the default) will actually start the dump if printer/computer is set up.
How did you do seting up Hyperterminal?
