Math vs. Maths

In german it's called Mathematik, which also is no plural. The plural then would need to be Mathematiken. That doesn't exist. We also don't have Physics, but Physik. It's one science (each), even if it has many topics. And even the british mathematics also is used as singular.
In other languages the plural exists, eg in french (I just looked that up).
