If this is a used set, you may want to set it to the defaults, as there may be a VLAN set up that you did not see. Press * when prompted to program, cycle through all the settings, but don't make any changes. Go all the way through and restart the phone with no changes. The screen will go blank...
The AYC10 is the board you want to use to connect the definity to the Intuity. There should be two ports on it, each having 6 pins which correspond to 3 ports each. The wiring is a simple breakout 3-4, 2-5 & 1-6 are your pairs for each port. These are t/r fxo ports. They will need to be...
hmmmm..... What firmware version did u use??? I loaded the latest firmware from the avaya website for the 4610's. Should I downgrade the firmware? If so, what release should I use?
Yes, I do have other 46xx sets installed and running...4602's, 4606's, 4612's, 4624's & 3616's are all installed on my network.
I tried to assign the 4610 as a 4620, yet it still reads "wrong set type"...
I have a MV 1.2 system and currently have VoIP setup on my network. I can run the 4602,06,12,24,20 & possibly the 4630 & 90 but I have not tried them yet.
I have been tying to install the 4610SW series phone and I cannot get it to work. The docs say that the 4610 is not native to the switch...
Please help, I cannot figure this out...
Our company recently expanded and added new office onto our existing building. In order to accomodate all the new offices, I added another cabinet to my G3si R9.5 which makes cabinet #2. The VP didn't want to install any speakers for paging in the...
Don't forget that the Avaya IP softphone does not support NAT. Any port mapping must be disabled or the softphone will not be able to reach the C-LAN or Med-Pro.
From what I've researched, the new 802.11e protocol will handle the wireless QoS issues and will eliminate the need for the stinkin' SVP. It is in the works with the IEEE boyz as well as the 802.11i protocol for enhanced security... Goodbye WEP!!!
Thanks Dustinn3 for your input...
Is the only QoS device available for the Avaya wireless VoIP the AVPP (Spectralink SVP) referred to as the SVP100a?
I cannot find any other devices to support SVP. I have to present my VP with the proposal and I was hoping to have a few options. Also, if it is the only device, where can I buy...
I tried to change the firmware to a different version that was offered by spectralink, but the problem is that the "AVAYA" 3616 looks for files specific to the Avaya version from the tftp. Therefore the different firmware won't load. I was thinking of maybe renaming the files to match the names...

I received two 3616's from my VP and he wants me to see if they will work on our network. I already have VoIP configured and have Avaya (proxim/agere) AP-3's throughout...
Avaya says that any instance of NAT running or port transversal causes th IP softphone not to work. I have tried to use NAT in the past, but if it is enabled, the softphone will not connect.
