My networking experience is relatively high compared to my peers. I've set up a network for a small newspaper company in my hometown, and i've set up a wireless pos system for my parents' store. So just a lil bit of small network admin, but nothing too deep. My real kicker is that my...
In a sense, I see myself being in the field of network administration and I really like working with hardware. One reason I want to get a grip on programming is so I can have the experience in case I change jobs/careers, and if b/c it also looks good on the resume to know a couple of languages...
I need advice, period. I'm going into my third year in undergrad for a B.A. in Information Managment Systems, I have my A+, working on my CCNA, have 2 internships under my belt, and have a great deal of knowledge in the IT field. My question is, what should I do over the next 2 years to make...
What kind of motherboard/processor/cpu/video card are you using? I saw a noticeable difference in my TV Tuner (ATI Wonder) when I upgraded from a 1.2GHz Athlon and a crappy PC Chips board to my 3200+ nForce2 setup and a GeForce 5600. It may not seem like it may help, but hardware can make the...
I'm trying to minimize my background apps and windows services and I'm trying to see what apps and services i don't need. Can any of you all kinda give me a heads up on which ones i can close?
Thanks
I would go into deep detail about this, but i'm sleepy...so...
Put everything back exactly the way you had it.
Make sure the HD is set to master and is set as a bootable drive in the bios.
Make sure the DVD Burner is not set to master.
All in all the HD should be on IDE1 channel
DVD Burner...
I'm not sure you should buy that motherboard unless you are absolutely sure that the 2.4 P4 Processor you buy is unlocked. That way you can get all your processing power. With a 400MHz FSB, your multiplier would be 6 making 2400Mhz or 2.4Ghz. If you motherboard is smart, it'll clock down the...
The only thing i've heard someone do with an old laptop LCD is place it inside a car. I was at a Car Show once, and saw a Chevy Tahoe with a 13 inch LCD built into the center console. Pretty cool lookin too.
Sounds like a cooling issue. Usually the only time a video card produces those types of artifacts is when the AGP Bus speed is set too high, the card is too hot, or it's too hot inside the case. Check all those and also if you have a heat sink on the video card, make sure it's on there pretty...
The print head may be clean, but they also may be damaged. Printing blue and only blue is no doubt a hardware problem. If you desperately need a printer, i'd say go find a cheap Lexy from someplace. You will probably get better resolution being that your current HP printer is 4 years old...
If you BIOS doesn't support booting from the Floppy via USB, then it's best to create a bootable CD. I've had a pain trying to do this, but I finally created a bootable CD by downloading a floppy image of the Win98 Boot Disk and burning it to a CD using floppy emulation.
