    Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines as well, regarding removing all traces of the card/drivers. Any advice on how to be sure to get rid of everything related to the card? Onboard sound is diabled via bios, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    Does it start if you remove the new card again? If it does you could just remove it, go into bios, disable on-board video, power off, insert new card and that should work. Have you tried plugging your monitor into the on-board video, while the Radeon is in?

    The max resolution on a tv i 800x600, but the most important thing to remember is that a tv is much more blurry than a monitor (I forget the exact technical reason why), but for playing games and watching movies is it fine.
