Nevermind. In case any of you out there ever have this problem, apply the hidden attribute to the files at the root of C: and you will be fine. CA has no idea what the problem is. Thought I would share with everyone.

After installing eTrust AV 7.0 on several PCs, it was discovered that all non-hidden files had been removed from the root of the C: drive. Anyone seen this before or have any suggestions? Auditing simply indicates that the logged on user deleted the file in the event log.

Not really an answer, but an observation. After applying about 5 different updates on a 2K/SP4 member server, all three logs (application, security and system) no longer log anymore and are all empty. Sounds like MS released another bad patch.

Invalid SID is the cause here. If you continue to have this problem, remove and readd the computer account.
