    BCM SNMP MIBs..where are they?

Short definition of MIB: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/M/MIB.html In layman's terms, we're trying to monitor BCM's via SNMP. In order to do so, we need the BCM MIBs so that the SNMP manager application can "translate" a bunch of .a.b.c.d.c...etc. codes called OID's from the BCM SNMP alarm...

How to configure CCM to send SNMP traps?

I have both CCM 4.0.1 and 4.1.2. How do I configure both servers to send SNMP traps to my SNMP manager? I followed Cisco's config document which basically told me to configure the Windows 2000 SNMP Service to send traps to the IP address of my SNMP manager and also define Read-Write community...

    Monitoring the Siemens HiPath 3500, 3700, & 4000

We would like to monitor these PBX's for system faults/error messages. Can these PBX's send SNMP traps to SNMP managers like HP Openview? Is SNMP trap alarming a standard feature of these PBX's, or is this something optional that must be purchased and installed separately? Are there other...

Overlapping VLAN. Which Cisco switch to get?

I spoke with a Cisco presales rep. He mentioned that the 2960 series switches are layer 2 switches, therefore they can't route packets from one vlan to another. He's unsure though whether the 2960 can have ports that can belong to more than one vlan.

Overlapping VLAN. Which Cisco switch to get?

I guess what I'm really looking for is whether these switches have built-in routing capabilities to route packets from one VLAN to another? If not, do these switches have overlapping VLAN capabilities...so that a server and/or user can belong to more than one VLAN at a time?

Overlapping VLAN. Which Cisco switch to get?

Scion515...not sure what you mean...do you mean you'd like to know whether the scenario would be possible on the 2950G and 2950/60 as well?

Overlapping VLAN. Which Cisco switch to get?

I would like to add that the servers will be in its own Cisco gigabit switch...perhaps using the WS-C2960G-24TC-L, which has 20 gigabit ports (copper) and 4 ports (copper/fiber). The users will be on a separate switch...perhaps the WS-C2960-48TT-L switch, which is a 48-port 10/100 switch that...

Overlapping VLAN. Which Cisco switch to get?

First, let me start with what I'm trying to accomplish. The client has multiple servers, Server A, B, C, etc in the corporate site. They have multiple users, User A, B, C, etc. They want to allow User A to access Server A & B, but not C. User B to access Server B and C, but not A. They also...

New messages do not appear in INBOX - Outlook 2003

I have a POP account with Verizon. Ever since adding my Gmail account in Outlook 2003, I stopped getting new messages from my Verizon account to show up in my INBOX. I went ahead and deleted my Gmail account from Outlook. Problem persists. I deleted the outlook.pst file and replaced it with...

    Watchguard Opinions

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but has anyone been able to establish a site-to-site VPN tunnel between a Watchguard Firebox 1000 and a Cisco VPN Concentrator?

VPN problem with QuickVPN and RV082

wgbecker...I had the same problem as you. I did some troubleshooting and it looks like the QuickVPN client can only connect if you're behind one NAT router only. If you're behind more than one...it won't connect. Still no solution to my problem...they have escalated my case as well...but so...

VPN problem with QuickVPN and RV082

BTW, how were you able to use Cisco's VPN client with the Linksys RV082? What version of Cisco VPN client did you use? Thanks!

Alarm monitoring and trunk reports on BCM

How does one monitor a BCM for alarms? Is it similar to a Meridian, where it simply spits out alarm messages on a serial port? Can it also send out alarms via SNMP traps? Does the BCM have sets of trunk reports that we can query? Or perhaps even better...reports that it can "spit out"...

That's ofcourse only if the telnet protocol is allowed on the router for access.

Allowing only users with IP addresses that are in the U.S.

This is perhaps a general router security question...not necessarily Cisco brand specific... how do I restrict access to our web site to only allow users with IP addresses that are based in the U.S.?

    Alarm monitoring for IP Office

I guess I was misunderstood...I should have asked, "Is there any other way to monitor this without using ANY 3rd party tools? Can it send alarms via modem dial-up similar to Definity PBX's INADS port NATIVELY, without 3rd party tools?
