hi monsterjta
thanks for the quick reply.
we can definitely email the contacts directly. And if we put a forwarding on one of the user's AD account to the external contact, it will work. The minute i put the contact into a distribution list, nothing.
The distribution list does have it's own...
hiya all,
there's been a few posts similar to this, but i've got a slightly different problem.
I've created contact entries with external web email accounts in AD. There are already distribution lists set up, e.g. IT Department. I've added those contacts to the distribution list by clicking on...

hey maybeiamleo - can i check you've already set up the xp machine with the printers and shared them out - and are just installing the shared printer to the NT server?
If so - you should be able to add the NT drivers to the XP printers - i think under the sharing tab there's a button called...
hi all,
wonder if anyone's come across this before? Got a win xp pro with sp2 on it, joined to a domain, running Sophos up to date.
User came in in the morning, hit CTRL+ALT+DEL, she got a login screen with the Username and Password fields greyed out! She could only select to log onto the...
hi sue,
just a few ideas...
have you tried accessing email on that pc with another user profile that you know works (admin maybe)? That should help to localise the problem area.
If other users can log on then it might be a permissions issue for that user. If others have similar problems on...
hi all,
we're running some machines with outlook 2003, some with outlook XP - some users get a problem when they make appointments in calender and invite others.
XP users don't get a problem generally, but when 2003 users send invites, the XP users get a jibberish email, and the appointment...
Hi all,
we've just installed an HP 4350 and was working fine, but we have one user who when she tries to access the printer properties she gets a ""function address 0x4f4fef3f caused a protection fault" error.
We've changed the printer drivers from PS to PCL, but doesn't seem to change...
hi there - we're running Citrix Meta XP on Windows 2000 servers and we've just installed a new HP 4350 printer onto the network.
All citrix users don't have a problem accessing this printer but one user when she tries to go to the properties (to select a tray) gets an error "function address...

hi rollys
are you logged on as the administrator of that machine when trying to add to the domain?
other than that you could try checking the DNS settings on the workstation - making sure you can ping it. You can also try nslookup to make sure the workstation points to the correct DNS.
good luck
hey ben - have you checked the bios setting for auto detect hardware - plug and play i think - make sure it's on?
If that's not the prob, then you could try moving the NIC to another PCI slot and see whether the issue lies there,
good luck
hey ferntown,
what error msg did you get when you tried to delete it in dos?
I've found sometimes that if it's a particularly large file, it won't delete as it says it's been used by other applications - more often than not windows explorer.
If that's the case - go to task manager - stop the...
