Just remebered this issue is caused by Exchange 2007, BlackBerry and Outlook 2003. We fixed this previously by inspalling Exchange 2007 SP!, installing a BlackBerry patch and running a script to clear the OOO message for all mailboxes. Looks like this mailbox was missed when running the script.

The pst file is a personal folder where you can create folders and copy e-mails etc from your inbox. I wouldn't reccomend using them unless you have a very good reason, I prefer to keep e-mails in my inbox than move them to a pst file.

Bit of a long shot but I have seen this in the past where the user had a "." on a line of its own in their Auto Signature and the e-mail was going through MAILsweeper. MAILsweeper was taking the "." as the end of the message and malforming the e-mail.
