I have a number of servers running Postfix, each of which host several different domain names. They've all been set up using sender_dependent_default_transport_maps to ensure that mail from/to each domain is coming in and exiting the server from it's own IP address.
A few days back I had a...
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable CHAP authentication on a PPPoE WAN connection on a TZ200 ?
I have a WAN connection recently converted by the ISP from static IP to PPPoE. The remote end negotiates a CHAP connection even though it is not able to successfully do CHAP authentication...
Easy to find but never that neat and tidy here PerryPJ, we're in Canada so most every cursed thing is BIX so it's usually a wire cut about an inch from the BIX strip and 4 crimps sticking out where they can get knocked around by anyone who happens to walk by. Though I did see one about 6 months...
Have a client with an 8x24 w/NAM voicemail. They are reporting that intermittently when customers call in to the system they report getting a "fax machine" instead of the phones ringing through (phones ring 3 times in office before falling through to auto-attendant normally). Apparently staff...
Have a client with a BCM 1000 running 3.7 they are reporting intermittent occurences when they answer the phone that they can hear the calling party, but the calling party cannot hear them (they say that it's not just low volume, the calling party cannot hear them at all).
I'm pretty sure...
Have a BCM install that was recently "revamped" from analog lines to a PRI. Each extension has its own 3-digit extension number, 2 appearances of the user's "direct line DID", and 5 of the phones have 2 appearances of the company's main line DID.
The goal was that if the receptionist is busy...
Have a client that wants to upgrade their MICS to 7.1. Will version 4.0 (somehow 4.04c randomly pops into my mind at this point, but I know its 4.0 something :-) on their NAM be compatible, or does that need to be upgraded to 4.1?
Regards,
Mike
Have a customer with an old EE-1000 chassis running ver 1.0, everything has been working just fine for them... CCR tree, voicemail, etc.
They've now got the need to have multiple CSR's take calls for several of the items in the CCR tree, so I thought the best fit would be to set up huntgroups...
FWIW if ever in a pinch for replacement drive for Startalk, track down your local Macintosh user's group... the old old Mac's used the same brand/model of drive, and most users concede that the computer will prop up the corner of the desk just as well without a HD :-)
Cheers,

Need to run past you folks if this is possible... and if it is, get a quick runthrough of what needs to be set up how. I have a fair bit of experience administering BCM, but little on the IP trunking side of the system.
I have the need to allow some of my suppliers to call me via H.323. I...
Can anyone recommend a good place to get an i2004 phone with a display problem repaired (inexpensively)?
Best guess is that the display is still good, and the phone board is definately good... but one of my techs discovered that the "ribbon" cable isn't attached all that solidly to the board...
Another thing to check for is whether the CMOS battery is dead (as opposed to just low). I have run across several BCM 1000's (and for what it's worth, several other motherboards from varying manufacturers, which use a CR2032 battery) with totally dead batteries which would not even power up...
Thanks Aragon... turns out that I wasn't flashing slow enough. Seems to take a lot longer hookflash than I'm accustomed to before it recognizes.
Cheers,

Does anybody know if you can use the "flash-*" to access feature codes on an ATA2 attached to BCM. Have tried it here but no luck, get a busy tone back the second I hit either * or #.
Before I pull my hair out further, would like to hear if somebody else has it working :-)
Thanks,

For what it's worth I've dealt with Panaseas as well, great caps, never had one stick unlike some other suppliers.
Also nice is that they can do custom caps for you in relatively small quantities. If I recall I ordered a bunch of "Voicemail" buttons once.

The type of switches that DHCINC mentions (I don't have experience with that particular brand) do actually work great. But there is one major downside for most customers... Caller ID does not pass through because the device "absorbs" the first ring to determine where to send the call, by the...
I'm trying to deal with a few "dialing" issues which I think can be handled by routing but I've never actually written any routing so I'm hoping somebody can at least give me a point in the right direction if it's even possible.
Here's the scenario... BCM with 2 line pools, originally 4 lines...
Did a site inspection today and as it turns out they actually have an M8 on the wall (and a RAD), whomever punched everything in when they moved into the building just didn't know/bother to punch it into the telco... sigh :-) Needless to say the customer now happily has Caller ID, and I wasn't...
