I ran across this error message and after spending a couple hours, I resolved this error message by deleting the entired Crystal Decisions folder.

There is no way around it if you have a SBS 2003 server. It has to write to some schema and if it can't write to it, it will automatic shut down your server.

start->run->compmgmt.msc->Indexing Services->Directories. Check to see if both of your hard drive is getting index. Only one hard should be index. My new Dell PE1800 was slow and after removing the index on the D drive, it help a lot. Not sure if this applies to you.
