I am trying to determine what machines have a specific driver version using SCCM 2007. I can query what driver is available, but not what is installed. We use Dell Optiplex desktops and Latitude laptops. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am trying to manage user passwords across our organization. We are getting ready to implement a firm-wide password policy, but would like to retain a copy of each users' password when they change it. I have auditing turned on and am generating events 4738 and 4723, but there is no content...
We have two TS servers clustered. One will display Microsoft Terminal Services under Network Providers of the Provider Order tab in Network Connection Advanced Settings. The other will not and this is the one we are having issues with. Any ideas how to get this item listed? Thanks!
In our BackupExec 10d Powervault 122t environment, we are running multiple jobs across the 7 tapes. However, an issue is occuring where the tape is full the jobs do not span to the next tape. All media are added to a set that is identified in the job, and Append to media, overwrite if no...
That baffles me. Why would it be different? It's still Netware 6 whether its part of the suite or stand-alone. Waiting to hear from CA what their take is.
Ok, gonna need some help here. It's an ML 330 G2 with no SCSI raid. Again, running Netware 6 SP5. Not sure how to troubleshoot from the controller to the drive. The controller also has 4 HDs attached, which led me originally to believe it wasn't the controller. Would switching the tape...
Novell Netware 6 SP5
Brightstor 11.1
Exabyte VXA-2
First time I have seen this. Weekend backup did not run and abended server. GUI displays device with <<media error>> info. Original error was e1024 failed to contact tape server, a7. No info on CA or exabyte site. Possible tape hardware...
Let me just say that I would not waste the time with ARCserve 7. That version is an abortion of a software application. In the words of my CA rep, "We never should've released Version 7." If I were you, I'd upgrade to 9. We are running it here, and are having success with it.
If...
We used Veritas Backup Exec 8.5 and I liked it. It was pretty easy to configure and didn't give me many problems. Then we moved to CA ARCserve, and it was a pain in the behind to setup and get running correctly. I still get a warning I haven't completely figured out.
I'd go with Veritas.
Try renaming the store.exe to store.exe.old and reinstalling your current service pack. I had a similar problem and found out it was a corruption of that file.
I set up ARCserve 2000 on a Win2K box running Exchange 2000 with the Exchange backup agent. I went through CAs documentation for setting up the agent and creating the user account to back up the server.
However, every time I run a job I get the 8604 Error. DBNAME=dbaexchis, EC=Back-up Agent...
Is there a correct way of adding volumes to Pools? If I create 2 partitions on a hard drive, I would add them to the same pool. If another hard drive only has one partition, that would get it's own pool because it is on a different hard drive.
Does this make any sense??? Is this the correct...
This is going to be a difficult one. When adding an LDAP Server object, I get an error after clicking OK. The error says, "com.novell.admin.common.exceptions.SimpleSPIException: Unknown meaning for error number null; Please call a Novell support provider"
I don't want to pay for...
Actually no. I found out what the issue was. The hard drive failed on certain sectors of the sys volume, so it wouldn't boot fully. Once I replaced the drive, it worked fine.
This is the error message I get when the Netware server is booting up, followed by: Controlled Cryptography Services are not available. I have searched Novell's site and haven't found a viable solution. Everything seems to deal with Netware 5.0 and 5.11. Does anybody know what this problem is...
