Sorry, but it was bad cables on the keyboards or bad keyboards. At least it was keyboard related, because new keyboards fixed it on them all. Why it only showed up PhotoShop, I can't explain...... Thanks for your efforts !
At first I thought it was fat fingering the keyboad or maybe even a plain keyboard error. Now I'm not sure. I just noticed that it only stops after I re-install PhotoShop. It may be caused buy another application, some OS setting, or something else totally. It's not a big thing, but it is...
I am having trouble with several computers popping up Photoshop help on their own while we're editing images in Photoshop. It's continuous and as soon as you close one window, 2 more open. I fixed one computer by re-installing, but it seems that it can happen to any of the computers at any time...
SP4 did me this way on a video workstation. It was device driver conflicts. I had 2 more of the same computer without he video stuff on them and they took the service pack just fine. I finally just went with sp3 and will upgrade soon to XP.
Sorry, it doesn't crash..... Just keeps trying to figure out what to draw to replace the blank screen. It's as if it can't read the drive and gives up. I can kill explorer with the task manager, but it won't re-start......
I'll go to the other bldg. and check out what you suggested on that workstation. I'm pretty sure that autoplay is disabled. Normally we are adding PowerPoint presentations and mpegs to the hard drive when this happens. I have used a pen drive and not had a lot of problems with it in my profile...
I have a Win2K workstation that the explorer window goes blank and stays blank after a cd or floppy gets inserted. On some profiles it happens all of the time and on every profile it happens most of the time. It even happens on the administrator profiles. I have done a re-install (not clean) and...
I too am having a similar problem. In the past I was able to delete the files from across the network on another Win2k OS computer, but now I can't even do this. Seems like NT4 and Win2k pro are both troublesome with this sharing violation problem. They won't release a file to be deleted when...

Well, I still had not tried the idea that TheOldMan346 gave me but I'll sure give these a try this weekend. It sounds like exactly what I'm looking for and as luck would have it, the computer I wish to do this with is already plugged into port 4! I really appreciate the help guys!
I read the info on how some items in messenger i.e. receiving files and audio/video don't work because of NAT. Is there a convenient way of moving out from behind the firewall and back during a session? Do you know of a better way to keep security going and still use messenger and all it's...
I had 2 NT-4 Workstations BSOD at first boot this AM. These 2 Compaq SP750 Workstations were both updated with Norton Antivirus CE vers 7.61.928 yesterday and not re-booted until startup today. The update was done via SMS.
The exact error message is...
Since I last posted I found out a few things. It appears there is a problem with the newer Nikon Cameras writing a lot of header information and it stays in the image while using Photoshop. Premiere 6 won't import a jpg with all this new info in it. I tried raw .jpgs from a Nikon D1x and...
Correction.... When I have done save as and got the same image to import I used another photo editing software. It seems to work with any except Photoshop.
After opening an image from a digital camera and re-sizing it and saving it to a .jpg I cannot import it into Adobe Premiere. I get a message "Unable to open that file. File is either damaged, an unsupported type, locked or in use by another application." It doesn't always happen but...
Is there a way to make PowerPoint create a new slide, fill the slide with an image, create a new slide, fill it with the next image and so on until all the images in the folder are used? Would it also be possible to have it insert a textbox with the filename of the image?
I'm not a VB person...
