What happens, when these users do nslookup on the internal web sites? Are you getting the correct internal IP? And, is the browser in use, configured to use proxy? Cheers Knutern

    ISA vs Novell BorderManager

Tried asking this convert-question in "Microsoft: Windows 2003 Server" forum? It has quite little to do with ISA 2004, so it might be best asked there. Apart from may be moving from BorderManager 3.7 to ISA 2004... But this experience, i don't have. I've been using ISA since version 2000 Cheers...

    SNMP for event logs

Came to think of it, MS also has tool for this purpose: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=890cd06b-abf8-4c25-91b2-f8d975cf8c07&DisplayLang=en Cheers Knutern

    SNMP for event logs

There are some tools out there that do not cost a small fortune, and they allow you to forward events to a SNMP-server. This is - i might be wrong, 'cus it's long time ago - a client being installed on the server to be monitored and this client will send to the SNMP-server. Cheers Knutern

Memory Leak - Windows Server 2003 Std. ed.

Hello, i have noticed that one of "my" servers suffers from memory leak. AvailMem degrades, while Pool Nonpages Bytes increases. I started to monitor the processes, but i could not determine any thing more specific as to what process it is, so i have started to use poolmon. Poolmon is dumping...

Allow all ports for external IP Address

Then I would do this via VPN instead. Never EVER would i open all ports on the outside of a firewall, even if you could filter on source IP. Spoofing falls into mind. Instead go with L2TP VPN. It is quite secure, because you use certificates, thereby "you" always know with whom you are...

    Publish OWA

The target principal name is incorrect. (-2146893022) I've seen this error with DNS. For example: you publish a internal OWA with the public name of mail.mydom.com and the rule passes the request onto you internal mail.mydom.com, for example. There are at least two ways to solve this: 1...

    Isa 2004 on a DC

No offence, but IMHO: Cheap or not, saving money on the cause of security is not something you should do. In the end, it will cost you more when disaster has struck. And that should be made clear to management. Even my CEO did understand that having a firewall on a domain controller was "rather"...

    Isa 2004 on a DC

But why on earth are you installing ISA Server onto a DC at all? Cheers Knutern

Broadcast IP's through Sonicwall for AV Enforcement

If you use network monitor, or some other sniffer tool, on the outside lan of the ISA, do you see the ISA external IP or the IP of the machine on the inside initiating the session? Cheers Knutern

ISA Server blocking outbound SMTP requests

In order to allow SMTP outbound, i assume you have created an access rule which allows for SMTP outbound, without any kind of restrictions (limited to a set of users for example)? If you limit to users/groups, you need to use the firewall client, because authentification is not possible else...
