    If u have are deleting sensitive data from a drive FDISK is bettter that completely wipes the drive and re creates the file allocation table so in affect u get a new drive not for the novice user thou.

    depends what app your using some writing software may not be supported your writer. you also may need the latest aspi drivers. ypu can get these from adaptec you could also try golden hawk (cdrwin) i have forund cdrwin aspi to be the best.

    I have found the best modems to be the US Robotics external 56k modems they are faster than internal modems but they aint cheap.

    G0aoz is correct but if u have a conflict and u can't find it a good way to check is to turn comm1 or comm2 of in your bios settings (providing of course youv'e got nothing attached to comm1 or comm2)
