What kind of Central Office is your PRI connected to? We have had problems in the past when the CO changes to VoIP (GenBand). A temporary workaround in an office in Maine routed fax calls to a copper trunk instead of a PRI. The customer was having fax problems afrom certain areas.

Did this problem just start? We have found that sometimes when the CO changes out to a VoIP switch that it causes havoc on our modems and fax machines. Often they compress too much. In one instance, faxes had problems on a PRI but no problems on copper.

Do you have the SCSI terminator plugged in? The 600R requires it.

Just had a trouble ticket on this same problem. User was not lifting handset, pressing handset or in any way getting dial tone to log in. Getting dial tone is neccessary when communicating with the PBX via dialpad.

The problem was Telco. ATT used a Cisco 8310 to deliver the T1 to the Norstar. It lost it programming.

We have a customer who has had a Norstar for a long time. They called to say they can receive calls but can't dial out. When they dial the access code the display says line busy. Checked programming and it looks okay. We changed the trunk module. Any ideas?

We have had problems with modems/faxes after we switched carriers to a VoIP CO especially when calling older data devices. They may have to make some trunks "G711".

Are there any DNs that appear on that phone that are single appearance DNs? CallPilot/Meridian Mail Mailbox X notifies the PBX to light the MW light for DN X. If DN X appears as key 0 on a single phone, that's the light that is lit. If it appears only once on key 4 of your phone and nowhere...

Pulling the cable and plugging it back in during the INI of off line core worked! Thanks.
