Just had a similar situation on site, 1x 9508 powered up but would not load firmware. Checked the module and one of the legs of the Blues was loose, punched it down then the phone upgraded!!!
Under System settings, System tab check that "Phone File Server Type" is set to Memory Card. If you have moved the config from V1 to V2 I think from memory it says Manager!!

The pause recording button is not working on a customer system, we upgraded them to 8.1 (69), contact store and VM pro.
The calls record OK and can be played back on contact store. When the button is pressed it beeps. Tried it on our in house system and can get it to work OK.

Make the customer delete any old messages, the card could be getting full and hasn't gone through maintenance mode to delete all old/unsaved messages. Think it completes it every 24 hours.
