I'm sure this question has been asked many times, but I'll unabashedly ask again!

Is there a good way to connect Manager to an IPO across the internet? SSH connection or something similar? Seems like a major limitation of the product if the answer is no. (Please don't tell me to use PC Anywhere or RDP...)

If the customer could provide a VPN login I guess that would do the trick.

Teamviewer or logmein or similar or dialin is the solution.
The IPO has no SSH.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Open these ports on their router / firewall.

TCP 50802 Discovery IP Office discovery from Manager.
TCP 50804* HTTP IP Office configuration settings access.
TCP 50805* HTTPS TLS Secure
TCP 50808* HTTP IP Office system status access.
TCP 50812* HTTP IP Office security settings access.
TCP 50813* HTTPS TLS Secure
UDP 69 TFTP File requests to the IP Office.

Just allow access from your work IP address, and its as secure as it can get doing it this way.

If you have an IPO connected with ISDN2 or ISDN30 (UK/EU) and the customer also has IPO with those types of lines you can connect using the ISDN line.

It requires one number on the incoming call route to go to destinantion Dialin with bearer as Any Data on the customer side and Service on your side to created with that number to dialin on.

Create an IP route (in the IPO) with XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (customers system ip) IP mask should be 255.255.255.255 Gateway leave blank, Destinantion should show the customer from the previous creation of Service in the drop down.

Create an IP route on you pc to connect via your IPO, for example if your IPO had 192.168.0.10 and theres was 10.0.0.10 in command prompt type "route add 10.0.0.10 mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.0.10

LairdyBoy, you don't need to dedicate a number, just blank number with any data set will route data calls to the modem regardless of number dialled, the default route is all we ever use :)

WooHoo!! Thank you for posting those ports, works a treat.
Now got to get all my customers to let me on their routers

yeah - works a treat. Might want to tie the rules down so that only your IP address can access manager via their router.
