The 'out of paper' message is usually caused by a communication problem. Swap your patch cables and connectors with working ones. If that doesnt work, move the printer to the terminal that drives it to see if the cable in the wall is bad.
First, it sounds like a good time to shop for a better processor. Although it is possible that one day all processors will enforce this kind of rule, it has not happened yet.
Re-running the card risks offending a previously very happy customer, not to mention the risk of breaking prickly CISP...
This certainly sounds like a file sharing issue. Try disabling simple file sharing, and whatever account the terms are logging in with, add it to admins on the boh. If the password is blank, you have to allow blank passwords in security settings in xp.
If they are using guest, change it because...
Force EOD should be running all of the normal EOD processes, including creating all of your gnd*.dbf files. It runs a number of processes in the background and can take a few minutes to complete.
It also creates the gnddbf.xxx marker file. If the Winhook marker file exists in any of your dated...
Posrescue is suggesting that the system may be in redundancy. If that is the case, the system will have a new message in about 7 days: Redundancy Limit Exceeded.
In fact, if tickets only print one of the terminals, there is a chance that the system is in multiple redundancy. In other words, all...
Sorry, I'm familiar with posiflex hardware, but not the software. However, most POS systems allow you to select either serial, parallel, opos, or windows driver, and the options located in the same area. It is possible that your version does not have that capability. Can anyone confirm this...
I had to RTFM. The msync is placed when the master term is sync'ing with the boh. If there are config problems like wrong termstr or server lines on the terminals, or corrupt database files that won't sync, the flag doesnt clear.
The sql.ini is only for relational dbase setups with Microsoft...
I have seen that only a few times, and cannot recall the fix. There is a marker file in tmp (named multi?) like exiting that causes the message, but I cant remember what causes the marker file. Deleting the marker is a temp fix, and a batch file may be a good bandaid. Do the debouts give any...
If it has a setting for OPOS, you can install the opos drivers on the terminal and drive it by name. If there are only com port options, you are stuck with serial.
Make certain that you do not have Internet Explorer 7 installed on the server. It is not compatible with some versions of Aloha. If you do, uninstalling it from add/remove programs will revert you back to IE 6
If both printers work at the good terminal, make sure both power supplies work also and that there are no loose connections.
Also, try using the cables and connectors that you know are working. In other words, take them from the working station.
You could also have a bad com port. Change to a...
I think alohaakamai3 is probably correct. One has bad hard drive or OS, and the other a bad power supply. You can take the hard drive from the dead terminal and move it to the term that has power. It is easily accessed from the top back of the term, by removing the 2 screws from the top panel...
