Hello. I am helping a customer who purchased a used Aloha system get it all set up. Everything is set except I cannot get one thermal printer to work. It appears as if everything is set correctly in Aloha BOH as I have another terminal with a printer that is working (same settings except host terminal is different). Is there any setting on the specific terminal that needs to be corrected? I have changed the printer routing to the printer that works for now but would like this one to work too.

Thank you for any help you might be able to provide.

1. Swap printer to determine if it is the printer or terminal.
2. Change com ports on the terminal and in Aloha Manager - make sure not to select the RT port in manager but the com port for that terminal.

If it's an Epson TM-T88, I would try doing a self-test. Switch the printer off, hold down the feed button, and keeping the feed button held down, switch the printer on. When the Paper Out light flashes, press the Feed button to continue.

Thanks for your suggestions! I switched the printers and the switch did not work so I am assuming it is down to a problem with the Terminal or Aloha Manager. I double checked the Aloha Manager settings and they are similar for both terminals. The Epson self test completed successfully. Any further ideas?

If both printers work at the good terminal, make sure both power supplies work also and that there are no loose connections.

Also, try using the cables and connectors that you know are working. In other words, take them from the working station.

You could also have a bad com port. Change to a different open com port in the software and physically and refresh and test.
