Keith, assuming your backend is an MSS, you could create a class of service and reduce the number of days messages are saved to 1 or whatever number you want and move this/these users into that class of service.

If the MAS lost connectivity with the MSS, it should have continued to process calls and spool any messages that were left. You are saying that it was not and reboot the MSS corrected that problem. Sounds like there was something else going on.
