Ultimately they are hoping to tie in everything from basic call handling to physician on call scheduling to secure texting & to tying into our EPIC software (Patient info tracking software) etc... The SPOK product line can accomplish all of these things in one tidy little package that costs arm...
I work for a mid size hospital (300 bed) & we are currently shopping around for a Virtual console application to replace our existing cinder block 302 consoles. We currently have a Avaya CM PBX (not sure of the release, fully upgraded in 2012, sorry, I'm an Avaya rookie)) We are looking at SPOK...
Right now it is set up as squared both for admin & 911 lines, all lines set to A&R on the 2 answering positions. This is a small rural sheriffs office where 911 dispatchers do double duty as receptionists.
I have a law enforcement customer that we have started servicing well after the initial install. The system is a MICS 4.1 with LS/DS & CLID trunks on it. 2 of the incoming trunks are 911 trunks(NOT CAMA) fed to the system from their "true" 911 system. After the system took a power bump, I am...
No kidding? if I have line appearances of lines 1-5 on the phones in the huntgroup, calls forwarded to the hunt group won't ring those phones? So I would actually be better off just forwarding to an analog port with a ringer & using that to notify the users of an incoming call...(unfortunately...
I've had this happen to several Flashes, generally if it happens once it will happen again soon. The only fix that I've found is to install a call pilot & call the Flash a goner.
Ok, I removed ext 200 as the prime line from lines 1-5, I also changed the prime line of each of the applicable telephones to NONE. the result was still the same & the calls would not forward to the hunt group, any other ideas?
I have an odd little problem that I've never run into before. Its with a MICS running 7.0 I believe. Its set up as a squared key system. Lines 1-5 ring @ the receptionist which they then want to ring to several other phones after 4 rings. I built a hunt group & included all necessary extensions...

So...this problem likes to come & go... works ok for a while, then the problems spring back up. do we keep rebuilding? or tell them to buy a dang CP
TY Ynot, the guy in the field had his weekend brain in place already & didn't realize that there was a BCM 50 mounted down the wall from the old Norstar that never got de-installed. The passwords were all default & the User Id was the default "SETNNA". I appreciate the quick reply.
I have a customer that is trying to access the programming @ one of their sites. When they enter "feature ** 266344" it then asks for a "user ID" I'm not familiar with this step in accessing the programming. What is the default value for that prompt?
Is the postage meter set up to dial out using the appropriate line pool code? I can't imagine polarity causing an outbound problem with the postage machine. Is there another fax machine you can swap into that location to test? Or swap out your ATA & give it a try.
Is there any way to pull the Serial number off of a call pilot using a telephone set? I have a customer that is out of town & needs a mailbox upgrade addition. They are not set up for any sort of remote administration unfortunately, but I was hoping I could walk the site admin through...
Both the KSU & the VM have been rebooted with no effect on the problem. We actually had the same problem on this system years ago & had to install a new Startalk Flash unit. It has run fine for a few years, but its now getting flaky again.
Customer has a MICS 4.0 with a T-1 & 1 each digital & trunk expansion modules connected to a Rel.2.02 Startalk Flash 4 port. Sporadically, some messages are being delivered 1-2 days after they are left. For example, user will check messages at 5:00 Monday, then Tuesday they will get a new...
