Guys, what type of telephones are you using? Have you tried creating a line appearance to the set, associated to that physical line?
I am running an IP500 with 4.2.14 and all is working good. Not to mention they are all 5621 IP sets.
I need some more food for the motor to start...
Will do! In reality Tip is the ground side connection of the pair, as in the day of Tip Party-Identification and old pay-station start. I'll verify all connection points and see where that leads me! Thanks Joe!

Crane......As I mentiond to Puter, try sending the customer a copy of TeamView. (Free on the net) Run it on the PC running Manager and your remote PC, and trap everything you need! TeamView will allow you to navigate the PC via remote and it also gives the customer the power to let you in when...
You are correct! If you look at the schematics, the zone inputs are the connection points for the station port(s) or another Valcom controller such as the V-2000 or what ever you use.
Yes, the unit is powered by 24VDC B Battery, which is an unfiltered source (Not Talk Battery). I have...
Back in the Tie days, their electret mic was on the "receiving" end of shocking people as you mentioned, and it killed the mic in the process. It was found that it wasn't the handset or the mic, it was a laboratory office which was very dry....no humidity! The company "Tie" later said to use...
What we have here is a failure to communicate.
IP500 4.2. The connected paging equipment is a Valcom V-9924C. All the paging equipment has been replaced since the failure. Also the commissioned station port has been moved to a new module and new extension number. (Change is Good!)
The...
Puter Send the customer in question a copy of TeamView which YOU can find on the net. (Its free!) This will provide you direct connection to the PC running manager, and it puts the customer in charge to allow you in per connection! Plus it will pass through ANY fire wall.
Run Sys Stat and...
Real Nice! If you think I'm looking for the Beep beep, then I have realestate in the South Bronx you would like!
I searched the Tek-Tips archives and on link in 2006 was a match, but also dead! Anyway......is there a new link for these?
Lord
I'm looking for the new link to download the .wav file loops Avaya had created for the embedded VM Music-On-Hold. The old link is dead and my laptop crashed two weeks ago with all my archives. Any ideas here?
Thank you in advance!

Quazi... What do the Transient and or Permanant errors read in the Magix? Give me the codes in the logs. I'm not thinking timing is the issue here...I need more info.

Weeew, Here's a dandy (Never had this one)! I have a customer PC designated as the on-site management PC. IP Manager will not find the IP500. SysMon replies with the following message during my attempts to connect via discovery.
501971645mS ERR: TFTPReceiver Unreachable net=192.168.42.4...
How much do you know about the Avaya Magix? Magix is able to be Switch-to-Switch networked using a T1 or PRI through UDP same in the older Definity switches such as SCC, ESCC and MCC up to I think Release 11. UDP (Universal Dial-Plan) unlike IPO UDP is done through a minimum of a 4 digit...
BOOM! I agree with tlpeter!
Default the IPO and import the config.
If all else fails, rebuild the config.
Are the IP sets new or refurb? Just wondering?

Whats the work around? I was drumming up something like call-pickup which is an SCN feature. Xfer to an analog ext port and announce that ext as the, so called park code, to pickup!? Just a thought! Once its aquired, its good for another call!?
Lord
Call me a dummy but, I can't seem to get a park slot on an scn branch office(s)telephone for pickup from a different originating IPO? We are dealing with a IP500 ver 4.2. This stuff is so easy until.....
Any ideas out there?
