    GroupWise Connector for Exchange 2000

I am looking for documentation that gives a detailed description of the installation and configuration of the GroupWise connector for EXchange 2k. The 5.5 connector came with excellent docs that not only explained the process, gave specfic settings for the installation on both the exchange and...

    CONSIDERING PURCHASING GROUPWISE

We upgraded from Exchange 5.5 to GroupWise 6 about 6 months ago, and have found it to be excellent. The limitations that were suggested earlier (attachment size, mailbox size, and restore) are not really issues. Attachment size can be set in the GWIA, mailbox size can be set in GW6 (not in...

Various Errors on POA log GroupWise 6 - HELP!!

I agree there is some type of corruption in the message dbs, but make sure you run the GWcheck that comes with GW6 ( in the Software distribution\admin\...\gwcheck directory). Also if you plan to run other than the 32bit version, make sure you don't use NWadmin, use only consoleone with GW6. Bruce

    Outlook Client with Groupwise

Here is what I know about the Outlook client. If you are using GW5.5EP, the outlook client is built into the system. If you are using GW5.5, you need to downloaded as indicated in the other thread. If you have GW6, I don't believe there is a outlook snap-in at this time. I know there wasn't...

    Lost message text

Alan, Sounds like corruption in one of your message databases. Try to run GWchk32 against the whole post office. Look at the log, and match up the users to what dbase they are attached to. My guess is that what appears to be random is not. GroupWise creates 25 message databases for each...

    GroupWise 5.5 Proxy Question

I have a user that has proxy rights to 3 other users. She bring them up in the mult-user calendar view to see their appointments. If a change needs to be made, she drags and drops the appointment to a new time and/or date. All seems fine. The "proxied" user looks at his calendar...

    Exchange Connector for GroupWise

I have done the connector to 5.5, and it went pretty well. Had it running for almost a year without any serious problems. The key to getting it going for me was getting accounts, logins, drive mappings, etc. straight. Once that was set, I had to do a little fine tuning of the scan on the API...

Upgrade to GW6 - degree of difficulty

Hello, The upgrade from 5.5 to 6.1 is pretty easy. There is a great guide for it. Check out this link http://www.ec-securehost.com/CaledoniaNetworkConsulting/GroupWise_6_Upgrade_Guide.html. I don't work for them, I have just used the stuff they write, and it is good. However, I would...

Moving GWIA from a server to another

Yes, you can do this. My recommendation is to unload GWIA from the original server, and delete the object from NWadmin GroupWise view. (There might be another way, but I think this is the cleanest). Make sure you save a copy of the gwia.cfg file before deleteing. It is usually in the system...

    compaq ipaq synchronizing

I don't have an IPaq, but I do have a HP Jornada that uses the CE os. I had a couple of issues as well, but they were generally with the serial connection to the device. I installed active sync and go it to work with sharing a folder. ONce that was working I installed Puma Intellisync on the...

    XXXXXX's showing up in emails

I have seen this as well, and I generally have found the issues to be communications in nature, that is to say, one of the post offices is going up and down. Could be a server crashing, line connection, bad drivers on the server. You can bring up IPCon or IPXcon as well as monitor and look for...

Running GroupWise 4.1a on Netware 5.1

I visited a client yesterday that wants to upgrade their Novell 4.x network to Netware 5.1 prior to upgrading their GroupWise. They have a mixture of 4.1a, 5.2 and 5.5. Does anyone know FOR SURE you can run GroupWise 4.1a on a Netware 5.1 server. I know you would think it would work, but...
