guycable2 _ What a great post! Had several employees each pointing their finger at the other. Your solution will stop that. There is indeed the feature in version 4.5.
Thanks,
I have a mini-carrier remote setup to one of my remote sites connecting via T1 to my CS1000 4.5 About a year ago we installed all new M3904 phones at this location. Within the last two months, users are complaining that their phones are automatically forwarding to specific extension without...
Okay! I got the incoming call cdrs set okay. However, they are not capturing inbound dialed digits which I am guessing is because I need to turn ANI on. I also guessed it would be in the CDB and RBD as well. Haven't found the right combination yet. Any ideas out there?
I need to change my Customer Data Blk to allow the capture of both outgoing (Which is already set) and incoming (which I need to set). I can not find in any of my manuals where the various labels are listed. I currently have the following:
CDR YES
IMPH NO
OMPH No
AXID YES
TRCR...
QUESTION WITH REGARDS TO HOW IP LICENSING UNITS WORK WITH SUCCESSION 1000 PHONES. OBVIOUSLY, WHEN I BUILD A NEW I2004 PHONE ON A VIRTUAL LOOP, I HAVE USED 1 LICENSE FOR THAT UNIT. NOW, IF I OUT THAT PHONE AND THEN LATER - MAYBE WEEKS, MAYBE MONTHS - REBUILD IT ON THE SAME VIRTUAL TN, HAVE I...
Sorry for the delay in posting. The director of IT services and myself finally threw up our hands in disgust and are writing off the acquisition of TM 3.1 as a waste of time and money. CLI is still the one and only way to go.
I am having a similar problem with new SLT 5 tapes on my Call Pilot 4.0. My logs show that I am getting a partial but I am unable to determine from the hieroglyphics exactly what the db that isn't being backed up actually is. Here is the offending portion of my log:
080511 2351 - Error...
Hooray! A solution at last. And what do you know..the problem was on the AT&T Side. They were still showing our old bogus number in the caller ID Field. Apparently, AT&T has two translation fields. The first is the 7 digit 'Billing Number' and the second is the 7 digit 'Caller ID' number...
Okay! Here is my dilemna. We have 2 PRIs servicing our Option 61c. Up until about 3 months ago, all outbound calls from our switch carried the physical address for the location and a 7 digit number which AT&T considers our main billing number. Then we subscribed to the inform 911 system...
Where does the DID for a PRI get programmed? On the switch side or the carrier supplying the PRI side. I have looked all over our documentation and can find nothing. AT&T says it's our switch programming and our vendor says it's AT&T setting the pilot # on the T1 when it gets programmed.
Actually, I was trying to just use this particular tnb as a test and simply do a nul on one of the keys using the new web interface in otm (Telephony Mgr 3.1 now). Once you make the key change, you first do a validation. Once that is complete you do a transmit to make the change in the...
Yes! Unfortunately, my vendor knew even less than I did regarding the installation and configuration of OTM 3.1. Will go back through the documentation that came with the software and see what I can find.
Thanks for the help!
Getting to the CLI - no problem. In fact I am much more comfortable with it than the otm. My boss wants the otm working so it will be easier to train a replacement when I retire. Here is an example of the TN in question.

Hope all out there can be gentle on an admin newbie. Anyone have experience with Telephony Mgr 3.1? Whenever I go to validate an add, move or change on a DID I get a raft of error messages and therefore cannot transmit the change. The primary error message is as follows:
>>Field SCN: CPND...
Well, I guess that is probably true for moves. In our small government agency, users don't move very often. They usually retire or quit. So the DID & Phone go to a new person. Therefore, the DID actually stays in one location most of the time.
Don't know if anyone else has encountered this issue. My spree code for outside calling is '9' so a user making a long distance code would dial 9-1-(xxx)xxx-xxxx. However, if they pause after dialing the 9 and then the 1 or hang up because they changed their mind, the switch for some reason...
With AT&T as our carrier, we were able to solve this problem by purchasing 'Inform 911' Package. Runs us about
$125.00 per month on 2 PRI's. The system is totally arcaic, but it does work so that instead of the address registered to the PRI you tie the DID to an address. We found it better to...
Okay - a logics brain teaser. I have a public agency reception problem.
1. Three exts 550, 551, 552 (yes we have a three digit dialing plan - yuk) Three i2004 phones, each with 2 kems to monitor approx 40 lines each are programmed with ext 550 as the primary ext on key 0 and each rolls to...
Boy, do I feel stupid or what! I forgot that you don't actually build a non-did like a phone. I was sitting here trying to build it like any other phone on a TN. Just select an unused DN and put it on any key on any phone. Not that hard, is it?
Thanks for replies. Will try and be clearer...
