EVENT VIEWER , EVENT ID 4319 FOR WINDOWS 2000 SERVER ?

Now you have a different problem. Here is the new solution. You are logging into the server using a roaming profile. The share is mapped from that server using a login script. So what is happening is you are trying to map a share that is already mapped. This is what generates your error. This...

    No startup LOGIN dialog window

This has happened to me many, many times in the past. First try removing the *.pwl files and rebooting. If that does not work, try removing TCP-IP in network properties, and re-installing it. (Remember to write down the IP address Gateway, WINS and DNS information.) If that does not work, make...

network freezing at same time everyday

Without any information, the only thing I can say is, try looking at your Virus program. What time does it start/stop/update. Do any of these times coincide with the network freezing up? Does a server on your network, that say, serves DNS or DHCP, go into a sleep mode everyday at the same time...

To resolve this problem, use the appropriate method: Verify that the current domain controllers in the domain have applied security policy and the Enable computer and users accounts to be trusted for delegation user right granted to the Administrators Group (click Computer Configuration, click...

DC acting all funky in Network Neighborhood

You can also do this. Find out the speed and the Duplex of the hubs and switches on your network and configure all the NIC cards to run at that speed and Duplex. Do not use hardware default on the NIC's. ie: 100/FULL DUPLEX. This will stop that error as well.

    System Error Event ID: 5774

Should'nt there be some kind of reverse lookup? I think something is missing on your DNS server setup.

    Windows Registry Files

The two filemanes that house the registry are NTUSER.dat and USRCLASS.dat. These also have .log files with them so you must copy them as well. They are all in several places including the repair folder in WINNT. I would copy them all just to be safe.

    network disconnection problem

This may be silly but, I know that NT does not support power saving but some Bios programs go into a sleep mode if the machine is idle. They kill everything even the NIC card. Dell is notorious for this. I guess it's worh a shot. You have tried everything else.

    Cannot Delete DD0: Access Denied

If this Microsoft KB Article does not help, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;246023 try PAUSING the NETLOGON service and then deleting the folder. If that does not work try starting the Server in VGA mode and deleting it then.

    Read/Update/Copy/Print security on a file

You can create a group and do what dredoggg said but in your case I don't think it is necessary. I am assuming that you have a domain setup. By default when a new folder is created in NT "Everyone" has full control. Knowing that, all you need to do is right click on the folder, go to...

    USB problems with Win 2000

If you want to re-install Windows and the service Packs and hotfixes at the same time I would look at Microsoft KB articles Q274215 and Q249149. Q249149 addresses your problem specifically but Q274215 had some nice backround to your problem.

NT 4.0 Server and Win2K problem

If you are trying to have users be able to use shared programs off an NT server to a Y2K workstation using a GPO, most likely this will not work because the Windows NT registry and the Y2K registry are a little different. I think Choctaw has the most viable solution in your case.

Giving machines internet access but no network access

Why don't you setup an internal DNS server and another external DNS server. The internal DNS server forwards to the external DNS server. You do this so you can have those PC's that need internet and intranet access pointing to the internal DNS server. Those PC's that are to have only internet...
