I still get the following even after I have added the DNS server into the DNS entry in the properties for TCP/IP.


Registration of the DNS record "servername.net" 600 IN A 192.68.1.2" failed with the following error:
DNS server unabled to interpret format
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
Should'nt there be some kind of reverse lookup? I think something is missing on your DNS server setup.

Have a look at this link to eventid.net...After reading the contributors comments your DNS settings may not be correct on your DNS server. Side question...are you running in native or mixed? If mixed, are you using WINS?
