Incoming call from customer suddenly cut off

If you are using DS1 cards and T1/E1's for your inbound calls I would suggest doing a: "list measurements ds1 log [board location]" make sure you are not taking any errors on any of them. If you are taking on slip errors this indicates a clocking issue. You can easily correct this yourself...

What does messaging split 55 for extension 4000 ?

I've seen it done with the "messaging split 55 for extension 4000" way. I think split 55 is the hunt group for your voicemail system. For mailboxes without phones I usually create a virtual station with coverage to voicemail and just do a: route-to number 4000 with cov y if unconditionally...

    Station types: x-port vs virtual

This is going to save me well over 2000 RTU's Thanks! Stars all around!

create extension that dials long distance and put and extension in

Here is one way to do this: Step 1 create a VDN with the appropriate COR for long distance that points to a new vector created in step 4. This assumes a 4-digit dial plan. The next 2 steps are the tricky part. (This is needed because in a vector route to statement you only get 16 digits.)...

    Intuity- cancel a Login Announcement?

Here are the steps to record or delete an announcement from a VAL board: Must be done from a phone with console permissions in the COS. 1. Pick up the handset (do not do this from a speaker phone or headset) 2. Dial the access code. (you can find this in ASA with a "display...

    Intuity- cancel a Login Announcement?

Please explain what a "login announcement" is? To me, it sounds like you have an "inclement weather" login ID that you activate, and in their Vector logic they check to see if this ID is staffed. When this agent ID is staffed the vector logic jumps to a step to play an announcement. If this...

How many LSP's do you have?

All -- What is the largest number of LSP's any of you have experience working with that were connected to the same hub sight? It appears one can logically configure 250 media gateways, but with all of the other resources needed to support a sight, is it really possible to have 250 sites LSP'ed...

Modular Messaging zero out to VDN

I went through numerous traces, and I finally figured out what was really happening. When someone zeros out of a VM box, the system always wanted to use port 29 on MAS2 to transfer their call out. When port 29 on MAS2 was in use or busy we had our problems. When port 29 was available things...

Modular Messaging zero out to VDN

All -- I'm having intermittent problems with a zero out of voicemail option set in Modular Messaging. Every now and then when a caller hits zero from a subscribers mailbox they get a message from modular messaging that states "Press 1 to enter another extension or press 3 for further...

    Enhanced Call Forwarding questions

If I were you, I would create a new coverage path for this station with the covering path pointing to a VDN/Vector pair that routes the caller to your 90788****166 number. This way you could controll how many rings before covering. The way you reference a VDN from a coverage path is to start...

    Dial Codes

Ronster -- Having only 16 digits is a problem. I have played with creating a bogus entry for my toll free number in ars that is 7 digits long, and send that number to its own route pattern that deletes 7 and inserts the proper 11 digits for my toll free number. The problem is this...

unable to dial a certain area code

This sounds like an ARS routing issue. Is 641 a local area code? Do a "display ars analysis 1641" and see what route pattern it is using. Next display the route pattern. Ex "display route-pattern #" See if it makes sense to you. If not post screen shots of each and we can take a look.

    Dial Codes

Can anyone explain further what the following dial codes do exactly ~p Pause 1.5 seconds (No further explanation needed) ~w Wait for Dial tone -- How long does it wait? Does it have to be dial tone? ~m Change to outpulse DTMF digits at the end-to-end rate. What does this mean? ~s Start...

    Call Answer Groups

I do what 1a22ip does, but be carefull using a bridged soft number. I usually create the soft number as a digital set with up to 5 call appearances, and create a bridged appearance for each on all 9+ sets. The down side is anyone that has the bridged appearance can pick up that line and hear...

    Audix Port No Answer

I would trace out the failed port and re-punch it. Try a list trace on the extension associated with the bad port, and dial it. See if this gives you any clue. Swap a good member with the one that doesn't answer. See if the problem stays with the port on the Audix or if it follows the line.

    DTMF Problems

I am struggling with what I suspect is a major problem, and I need to figure out if it is with our different LEC’s, or with Avaya, or if its something completely different. I posted this question a slightly different way a day ago, so if this sounds familar it probably is. I can duplicate this...

    IP Phone registration over WAN

The first place I would look is at your inter network region connection management screen. display ip-network-region ### Make sure you have a codec set mapping between the 2 network regions.

DTMF issues on MM711 Trunk Groups on g350's

Correct me if I'm wrong telecomturner and inerguard -- I think I only need to set my sync source if I'm using a T1 or similar type of trunking. My only trunks on the five sights having problems are CO or POTS lines, not T1's Mitch672 -- I'm checking my rev levels now. I will let you know what...
