matt, sometimes when this happens in our system it seems to be that something in the data network has changed.
The data group always say's they have not done anything to the switches but we have to set the voice VLAN
to NO for it to come up. Or check one of the phones that is up and see what...
Blackbear, some times when we bring up phones and they won't connect we have to static ip
the phone or change the vlan for it to connect. Usually it's a vlan issue when we see dhcp unreachable.
Try checking one of the other working phones for vlan and ip addressing.
The phone should upgrade the...
I hope I'm just missing something easy but it's driving me crazy, and I'm sure
someone here can help.
I have an SMG running 7.6 that was up and running but not in use by the customer yet.
Working on session manager / system manager that I did not install. Still waiting on training.

Some times we will have an issue with phones that do not inable after
an ini. What we do is in LD 32 enls X X Loop and Shelf and it enables
all phone ports on the cards in that loop and shelf. Depending on how big
a system you have it could take a while, or you can build a script to run the...
lapakhora, I had this same issue with an upgrade from 4.0 to 7.5 CPMGS.
I had to open a ticket with Avaya to convert the database, they told me
it was an issue with the conversion even though it showed uploaded successfully.
What they did was convert the database from my system using a CPPM card...
Had this same problem with an upgrade to 6.0 on a cppm co-res after installing the deplist. My noc took it to nortel and their answer was to power cycle the switch and that cleared the problem.

This sounds like a problem in the central office. I would check the lines at the POD with a test set, but the central office is what gives you the ring back tone on a POTS line. Call your dial tone provider to have them check.
What you need to do is set up the ccr tree option to transfer to the hunt group number. Then you build the hunt group to include the stations you want to answer the calls.
No need for call center pkg.
Can anyone help with connecting a terminal sever(MRV) to a netpath seb modem. I need to know the pin outs on the two ends of the RJ45 connections. I seem to have the port on the mrv and the pty configued correctly. The pty is enabled so it's talking to the mrv, but the two units are not talking...
If you just want the tn's go to
ld 20
prt=enter
dnb=enter
cust=enter
dn=ext # your checking
date=enter
page=enter
date=enter
this will give you all the tn numbers and key numbers
this ext appears on.
I had the same problem and Ace is right. The phone had a dn programmed on key 10 that was key 0 on another set that was removed. It had a mailbox that kept lighting the other sets light.
one quick thing on 4.5 cpu cppiv that we have noticed is that if the primary and secondary e-net ip's are not in the same ip address range you cannot swap cpu's. This is with callpilot and symposium installed on the elan. It worked fine untill the two were up and running.
