I had this same problem for years, and the best way to fix it is to ditch the 46xx series VPN phones and upgrade the 96xx series phones. Avaya stopped developing new firmware on the 46xx series VPN phones for a reason, something like 8-9 years ago. I have replaced most with 96xx and haven't had...
We have approx (400) 4610SW and 4620SW phones in our main location. We have a single connection to our HP Pro Curve switches, and the PC's plug into the switch port of the phone. We utilize separate Voice and data VLAN's.
Certain random users are have been complaining about slow network speed...
IKE Phase 1 No Response errors indicates an authentication problem from the VPN Concentrator. Did you register the serial number of the phone into the concentrator?
All of a sudden, I cannot interrupt the boot process (* to program) and change the File Server Address to point the phone to a TFTP server that I have set up with VPN Remote firmware to convert the phone to a VPN phone. I can change the address, but once the phone reboots, it ignores the entry I...

I don't think anyone is disputing your points. The problem is you have these managers who want a HOTLINE for everything, but do not want their people tied to a desk answering phones all day, so we as the phone professionals are expected to pull off small miracles by finding a solution to allow...
I agree with CCLTD. While I usually applaud Avaya's feature set, you know as well as I do that most end users are "HOTLINE HAPPY" and having the option to have more than 8 stations in a Coverage Answer Group, does not seem like to much to ask. I have run into many situations where this would be...
list partitioned-route-table. The PGN 1-8 across the top are the Time Of Day entries within the COR's and the Route Index number down the left hand column are the partitioned route pattern numbers. If you list your route patterns, you may see some entries starting with P, before the number, this...

Plug in the phone and then press * to change setting when prompted, then type in the IP address of your laptop running TFTP at the file server field. You should start the TFTP service on your laptop so you can actually see the phone getting the downloads.
You either have to do it through Mailbox Manager, through the MSS, or through Active Directory if you have an Exchange Backend. I don't know your environment. How do you set up a new user? If they don't need Voicemail, just take out the Cover path entry on their station form and the calls will...
There is no voicemail box for the user. You are getting to the Voicemail, but when there is no mailbox associated with the extension that is the greeting you get.
Have the user press Send All Calls (SAC) to deactivate the Feature. It is that simple. Send all calls, when activated sends the calls to the first point of coverage immediately, in your case to Voicemail.
