    Two Cisco Unity 7.1 questions

Not really sure how you to load and view the mapping, but the cisco docs say Alternate X is using "2" for skip to message body. Changed my "touchtone conversation" setting to "Alernate Keypad Mapping X" and it skips the header and plays the message when "2" is pressed. what version of unity...

Removing a DN from a device in CUCM 7

In Call Manager 4, I was able to: 1. select a device 2. select a line on the device 3. delete the line from the device. I found that if I did this in CUCM 7, I would be deleting the DN from Call Manager all together. In other words, attempting to delete a single appearance of a multiple...

    Two Cisco Unity 7.1 questions

I think the default key mapping is 18 in Unity Connection 7. But you can do a custom key map in Tools > Custom Key Map > tab=Message Header.

    Busy channel on PRI

I disabled a channel on my Nortel end and did a "show voice call summary" on the gateway, it shows the channel as active, Call Manager should not be able to seize that channel going forward.

    Busy channel on PRI

why not just dsch the channel on the Nortel side? it will lockout the corresponding channel on CUCM.

CUCM is only sending 4 digit to the gateway/telco

use DNA (Dial Number Analyzer) to see how CUCM is processing the call. there is nothing the phone company can do with 4-digits unless you have a dedicated tie line going to another phone system.

Don't want to pass digits into VM...

In the calling party transform mask, did you select "off" from the drop down menu and than update and reset the route list?? If that still doesn't work than its on to plan B and the Nortel configs. Allow incoming digit translation on the route and than define the numbers or number ranges...

Don't want to pass digits into VM...

do you have a route group/list pointing to the nortel? In the route list, try inputting a number into the calling party transform mask field and build a meridian mail box to accept calls from that number.

    turn off call forward

I wouldn't delete the CFW key when its active, you could corrupt the DN if the system doesn't rewrite the memory registers correctly. If you're in house, use the remote call forward feature. It may take about 15 minutes to set it up if its not already active, but the NTP's are very good in...

CDR Time of Day stamp from CCM is 6 hours ahead...

Call Mangler reports time in GMT, you need to apply the offset in whatever you use for call accounting.

thanks for the responses guys, I guess that's the result of being the 51st state - you share the same standards.....except for possibly building codes for igloos.
