Plantronics headsets with USB are also very compatible with the IP communicator.
At a previous job we had iPhone handsets. With a little tool it noticed an off-hook situation. Sorry, don't know the exact type.
Please forgive me for the incorrect link. If an moderator can edit the previous post, than please remove the incorrect file locations.
The right location is: http://www.fringel.com/unuseddids.asp.txt
With the 4.x and earlier versions you could query the SQL database for the unused-did's. I also wonder if the asp/sql-query included here (attachment) could be converted or otherwise be executed (e.g. in a web interface) to find the unused did's.
We are trying to config an 2811 router with an VWIC 48-S/T. This is card with 4 BRI-ports. With this router we want to have an ISDN-gateway communicating with MGCP to the CallManager.
In all the config examples is the config 'voice-port' command. But in our IOS's we tryied 12.4(17) of 12.4(9T)...

I was thinking in the same way. Something with ACL's. But why can hardphones in the same vlan at the same site access all functions on the CCM and the IP Communicator can't?
Monday I will look at it again. Check the ACL's and VLAN's once again....
Because everything is on the same site I can...
The Publisher is the TFTP-server. The fact that the IPC registers itself and calls are possible means that the TFTP is correct. As I said, I'm able to change the ringtones, also tftp.
The call-setup is done via specific ports. The call itself is in a specific range of ports. I thought in 32000 and above range. So in my opinion you need to open up the voice-ports in your firewalls to allow traffic from a specific ip-range to the other ip-range using those port numbers.
If I...
I found this post on the forum, but this didn't help me.

I only have the problem of no Corporate Directory in my IP Communicator. On all phones this works perfectly.

The workaround was not good enough for us, so we are going to upgrade Unity next week to version 4.1.1. This version should have an option to disable the 'Cisco lady'.
The way tot transfer to voicemail is to make a Call Redirect.

Do you want a message to display on the phone, of do you want a message be played to the user?
The first option I have seen an xml-script to do that a long time ago. I'll try to find that for you.
The second, I don't know a solution for that.
We want to redirect a call from an IPCC-script to Unity to allow the caller to leave a message. In the Prompt on the IPCC (or if needed in Unity) we have our own prompt in English and Dutch for the caller that he/she can leave a message.
The problem is that after our own announcement a kind...

MLA is not really an option for us. Currently we are looking at BAT.
A salesman at Cisco said that Operations Manager is a substitute. But I can not find any thing about managing the CallManager in a different interface and with more advances user-rights.
Anyone know about a third-party...
We where using VPT for managing the Callmanager. This is used by the supportdesk in our company. Now I heard that VPT is end-of-life. Does anybody know of an alternative to have a low-level management system with templates and user-rights. CCMAdmin is not suitable for these users, as they don...
After a long vacation I'am back, and work now for a different company.
They want to use more and more cell phones instead of desk-phones, like a 7960. I don't know if they understand all the con's and pro's. But thats for me to find out in the next couple of weeks.
Can you help me with some...
