We tried a cordless usb phone - which had a decent range (in open space) and a desktop phone which had useable transfer keys.
Both had power adaptors and were fairly bulky and for this reason (and the fact there were no resellers in the UK) we deemed them not suitable for carrying about (hotdesking etc)but for a fixed home/office worker they would be good.
Once the drivers load you have to go to a Eutectics web page to get the phone to work on Call Mananger/Avaya/Nortel etc.
Plantronics headsets with USB are also very compatible with the IP communicator.
At a previous job we had iPhone handsets. With a little tool it noticed an off-hook situation. Sorry, don't know the exact type.
