My boss wants me to setup a speed-dial button on the recpeptionist phone that when pressed will alert another IP phone that will say something like "Emergency at Front Desk"
The goal is for this to be silent at the front desk.

I was thinking about creating a new DN and then assinging a special caller ID. However i dont see how this can be done with only pushing one button.

Any ideas?

Do you want a message to display on the phone, of do you want a message be played to the user?

The first option I have seen an xml-script to do that a long time ago. I'll try to find that for you.

The second, I don't know a solution for that.

Thanks Dtravler,

Yes the first option would be preferred. If you can't find it. Then maybe provide a good google Search string for me to try to research it.

I know it can be done ive seen companies sell this type of feature.

Thanks,
