Janni78, you are right. It happened to me twice when configuring the IPO over a slow network connection. The system defaults and retains only the ip addresses.
This time there was no one doing any configurations, therefore I was looking for anybody here in this forum who had a similar problem in...
I have an IPO 406V2 with 2 x DS30 Expansion modules and 1xBRI trunk card and 1 x Analog Trunk Card. Over a weekend I found the extension numbers and huntgroup to factory default however the ip settings remained untouched.
I am running version 3.2 - latest release.
Does anybody met anything like...
You are absolutely right. Star for you!
It is the best & shortest possible answer ever in this forum to answer the question on how to allow your exchange server to host multiple domains.
Well done!
ok - found it - writing this post has illuminated me.
I was adding the smtp address manually and it does not work out.
You have to add the addresses using the group policy - there you will find the tick that (this server is responsible to deliver the mail ..bla..bla ..bla.)
Cheers
Hi,
We have MS Exchange 2003 Standard Corporate. We have an AD domain called company1.com.
We have decided to run another company on the same Exchange server, therefore we have purchased domain company2.com and is pointing the same ip address of company1.com smtp (exchange) server.
We have...
I normally use the E30 and E40, connect it with an analog extension port and it works fine. You have to program a shortcode on the extension so that when you press the button on the Viking (that makes the extension to go off hook) the IPO automatically dialls a configured number.
Hi superikey
Get your IPO connected with the public internet and assign a static public address subnet and gateway & make sure that your IPO is accessible from the Internet and that your firewall profile is properly configured if you are using it.
Goto your ip office and create 2 ip trunks...
I had this problem. I solved it by upgrading the IP Office using different Admin CD. Then I have uprgaded the phones one by one through the Manager application and came back to normal.
Hi Janni, Is there an official Avaya Document that states this? I have been hearing this so many times!
In the mean time I have managed to find a provider but does not provide coverage for most EU countries. The provider is @ www.didww.com and it works perfectly with IPO using IP H.323 trunks...
I am looking for VOIP (H.323) DID providers for European countries. Can anybody help?
Most of them are SIP and AIX providers, very hard to find H.323 and unfortunately IPO supports only that!
Cheers!
Ok finally had some time to fix this problem.
As a general rule, you should completely delete the files matching the specification *nn.* from the storage group data folders. This includes the R00.log file, the R00.chk file, and any Enn.log or Enn.chk files.
After that I managed to run...
In your case you should program your ATA to connect to the IPO when the phone connected to it goes off hook. In this way then you will hear the IPO tone.
On some gateways this is called "hotline" to allow you to do a VOIP call without keying in any number. i.e when the phone goes off hook...
Sorry but I did not understand your requirement completely.
To read voicemail I just press *17 and it reads it. To notify you can use voicemail ringback.
Let me know if I was to the point.
Cheers.
Hi There, I use Planet VIP-320 (DECT) voice gateway and I suppose that the other Planet VIP models work as well using H.323. These are much cheaper than Cisco ATA.
You need a 3rd party license on the IPO to make it work.
I have used the Viking E-30 and E-40 models without problems. You connect it with an analog extension and program the Analog extension to dial when in the off hook position.
There are many things that one can do when someone rings the bell; for example you can generate a shortcode to switch on...
I did not install MS Exchange again since I got this autmoatically from the Full Computer restore using a restore set containing System state.
Shall I re-install MS Exchange using /disasterrecovery switch?
Hi Andreh, My AD is fine. The AD restore was not problematic. The only problem I have is with the MS Exchange Database restore. I cannot get the public and private mailstores back and mounted.
Thanks.
I have single server on my network that acts as a AD server (DC) and a MS Exchange 2003 server.
As part of a disaster recovery plan, I took a separate server and placed it on another standalone network and restored the backups on this server just to make sure that in the event of any faulure...
I am testing a restore strategy. I have a single Exchange Server 2003 running on Windows 2003.
I have conducted a full computer backup including system state but excluding the MDBDATA and Exchange selection in NT Backup.
I took a separate backup then for the Exchange databases only.
I...
I was configuring a 3rd party h323 endpoint and was not able to set the account codes to work. When I press the account code the system simply does not interpret them, as if nothing was pressed.
Therefore for this particular extension I have configured a manual user shortcode to act as an...
