I am looking for VOIP (H.323) DID providers for European countries. Can anybody help?
Most of them are SIP and AIX providers, very hard to find H.323 and unfortunately IPO supports only that!

Cheers!

SIP trunks is supposed to become available in 4.0 released in Q1 2007

Hi Janni, Is there an official Avaya Document that states this? I have been hearing this so many times!

In the mean time I have managed to find a provider but does not provide coverage for most EU countries. The provider is @ and it works perfectly with IPO using IP H.323 trunks.

Cheers.

can you provide details of how you got h323 trunks to work with didww.com?

Hi superikey
Get your IPO connected with the public internet and assign a static public address subnet and gateway & make sure that your IPO is accessible from the Internet and that your firewall profile is properly configured if you are using it.

Goto your ip office and create 2 ip trunks.
You create 2 ip trunks because didww.com will send you the calls from 2 different gateways and if the IPO does not know about these gateways it will reject the call.

You can leave all your default settings for the Line and Shortcodes. For the Voip tab you need to enter one line with the following ip: 212.150.36.116 and the other with the following ip: 204.11.194.34. ( I got these from didww.com FAQ section)

That is all you have to do. The goto the didww.com website, click on the try now and select h323 protocol from the drop down list. In the address fiels type in extno@yourpublicipaddress (example: 214@129.123.123.1)
The extension number is required but in IPO you can change this to any number in the incoming call route that can divert the call to a voicmail call flow (for example).

Dial the US number that they provide you for free testing.
Open your call status and you will see the call coming from the IP Line depending on which didww gateway decided to service your call.

Hope that my explanation was simple!

Cheers

Last Avaya Roadmap I saw included SIP trunks in 4.0 release but noone can be sure until it's released.
