    VPN phone not registering

I finally figured it out, and it was a Cisco configuration issue after all. There were two default static routes and one of the routes was causing the issue. Somehow that made it intermittent as some of the encapsulated packets were being dropped. ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 FastEthernet0/0 <--...

    VPN phone not registering

I am having a tough time with some VPN phone users connecting to the IP Office. They are all connected to a Cisco 2811 via an IPSEC tunnel and used to work fine for the past few months. Suddenly we're getting issues with the users connecting, and the problem goes away sometimes. I don't think...

    Paging pre-announce tone?

So what are you folks doing for a per-announce tone? I was just at another of our facilities and it's nice to hear the ding-dong chime through their system and I realized that the IP Office just doesn't have any kinds of options regarding this. I ended up buying a UPAM but all it does is give an...

Cisco Router and Avaya 9620L VPN

What does it say when you do a sh ip route and sh crypto session detail? Try using a VPN client on your computer to establish a connection. Then try to see if you can ping the 192.168.50.2 address. Those were what I did when trying to figure out where it went wrong.

Cisco Router and Avaya 9620L VPN

Ok it was a stupid mistake on my part. I always assumed that I had the IPO address in the phone. Never did I realize that it was left out after one of the few iterations. It now works!

Cisco Router and Avaya 9620L VPN

That's one possible solution, but it just would be cleaner to ship out a phone than a whole mess of wires and explaining. Oh looks like I linked the wrong document above, I meant to link this avaya document: http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100072456 I followed the instructions to...

Cisco Router and Avaya 9620L VPN

I'm having a smiliar issue with the configuration of the 9620L phone as well. But I can't even build the tunnel. I'm following the guide by Avaya and no dice. http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100092405 I've tried it on a Cisco 2811 and a Cisco 871. Both fails. This is a brand new...

    1600 phones with Cisco DHCP?

Although properly or not, I always find IPs that someone decided to make static, but the Cisco IOS actually knows better to ping first to make sure that it has a good IP before assigning it. You can see this by typing show ip dhcp conflict at the ios prompt.

    1600 phones with Cisco DHCP?

You know it must have been something along that lines because as of this morning the 1616 started to work fine with no changes to the router. It's funny because we have enough computers here that if someone plugs in a rogue DHCP server I would have had a lot of complaints.

    1600 phones with Cisco DHCP?

Hmm not sure what's happening then... tried as suggested but still stuck with the DHCP option 242 ascii "MCIPADD=192.168.1.200,MCPORT=1719,HTTPSRVR=192.168.1.200" Just tried that and it keeps on booting. DHCP debuging on the 1841 router shows it has sent a DHCPACK and a BOOTREPLY to it. I'll...

    1600 phones with Cisco DHCP?

I'm having a tough time getting the 1616 phone to work in DHCP mode. Just a single vlan (so the voice is on the same vlan as data). When I first plug in it goes through the boot, then DHCP, DHCPNAK, then it times out, reboots and repeats. In the Cisco dhcp scope, I have tried variations of...

Call Log not capturing missed calls to voicemail

On the 1416 phones that we have with the call log button feature, missed calls seems to only show up if it doesn't go to voicemail. But if the person does not leave a message, you wouldn't know if they called. How do you set it up so that if it goes to voicemail, it is flagged as a missed call?

    Phone Manager Pro?

Thanks all! Can't wait to get the One-X Portal installed!

    Phone Manager Pro?

Wow, I didn't realize there were different One-X applications too. I thought there was only one. Is there a place that tells me what are the applications from the One-X that do come with the IP Office? Do I at least get the web interface that looks like the Phone Manager Pro so I can control...

    Phone Manager Pro?

Oh boy, so let me see if I got this straight, if I'm a power user, I get access into the One-X portal correct? If I do, I get access into the One-X Portal Communicator, which looks like the same thing that Phone Manager Pro does. The only thing is that I have to set up a separate server for...

    Phone Manager Pro?

I guess I don't? I thought the Power User would have given that option no? Is the Phone Manager Pro a completely different license?

    Phone Manager Pro?

I did. I enabled it so the user is a Power User as well. In the Phone Manager Options (in IP Office Manager), I have Pro selected. Yet when I run the client on the PC it still shows up as Lite.

    Phone Manager Pro?

I think I'm getting confused with all the different software. Now on ipofficeinfo.com there's a User Manager (user_4_2_37.exe) link that I downloaded and ran. I have run it and all I am getting is Phone Manager Lite. I enabled Pro on the Phone Manager options and it doesn't do anything. Did I...
