    M7310 and M7110 Phones

    Measuring cable

Stranded CAT 5 cable is for patch cables, solid CAT 5 is for wiring runs, it is usually not necessary to make extremely long patch cables so footage markers are not needed.

    Slow Fiber?

If you have additional spare strands in your fiber cable you can swap a strand at both ends, there is no twisting or anything with fiber, just make sure that transmit at one end goes to receive at the other and vice versa.

Cable tester gives error on pin 6

Re-run the cable and charge it to the people who damaged the cable. Any other "quick fix" will likely cause grief and end up costing much more in the long run.

Running Cat-5 in metal manufacturing warehouse

For the price of fiber optic cable nowadays, I would run a piece of 6 strand fiber and put a couple of fiber to 100baseT converters on my hubs, that way you will be sure to have no interference.
