Outlook 2007 - Move (not copy) Appointment between Calendars

We've just upgraded to Office 2007, and it seems that when we drag a calendar appointment from one calendar to another, it now creates a copy in the new one, leaving the appointment in the original calendar as well. Dragging from one calendar to another used to move appointments, not copy them...

Will MS CRM Swallow Up The Competition...?

Thanks for the input. Glen, do you mean a new package in addition to MSCRM? We haven't seen MSCRM over here yet firsthand, it's being shown / demoed at a seminar next week.

Will MS CRM Swallow Up The Competition...?

What does anyone think about this? There are a number of Outlook based CRM systems currently on the market, do people think they'll fold (or be "folded into" Microsoft) once MS CRM has got a strong foothold in the market?

    Using Crystal Reports with Goldmine

I've also read that Crystal 9 isn't currently supported for GM; there may be something on either the Frontrange or Crystal Decisions site which will confirm this for you but I couldn't find anything at first glance I'm afraid. Dave

    Crystal 8.5 Display Question

Thanks, but it actually turned out to be related to compressed files, there was an option in Windows Explorer to display them in a different colour.

    Crystal 8.5 Display Question

I've just upgraded from Crystal 8 to 8.5 (and gone on to Windows 2000) and have noticed that when I go to open a Crystal Report, some of them are listed in black type and some in blue. It might be something obvious, but can anyone explain why this is? Thanks

    Reporting Lost Sales on Goldmine

Thanks Howard, that worked a treat - I found the field I need and have now identified all the relevant records. Dave

    Reporting Lost Sales on Goldmine

I need to report on Goldmine 5.5 (dBase) using Crystal 8 so that it shows me all Lost Sales over a certain period. I can't use our Result Codes as I think some sales may have been completed incorrectly so in the report I need to insert the field which tells me whether the sale was Lost or...

Saving Batches of v8 Reports as v7

Thanks guys, that's a help. According to the Help File for VControl it can downgrade from v8 to v7, and apparently will prevent the downgrade of any reports which may lose any functionality. Most of out reports are fairly straightforward anyway so we should be ok, though I will be wary.

Saving Batches of v8 Reports as v7

Hi there Has anyone come across a utility which allows you to save a load of v8 reports as v7 without having to go through them individually? I'm sure I've seen something like this advertised somewhere in the past but can't find anything. Thanks

Looking for a function to change field display order

Hi, I've just started using (fairly basic) formulae in reports, but I can't find a function which will swap the display order of two fields in the report based on a condition. It's for printing address labels, and I want to be able to say "If field x = 1 then "swap display order...

Crystal 8 export to pdf - where's it gone?

Thanks, but I've had a look on the site and apparently it's not available as a beta download anymore, you have to phone them or go to the online store; I've tried looking there but can't find it, and when I phoned I was on hold for a while so will try again later. The annoying thing is that the...

Crystal 8 export to pdf - where's it gone?

I used to have the beta version of the pdf export utility for Crystal 8 on my PC but it's recently been rebuilt and I don't have it anymore. I can't find it on the Seagate website, is it still available anywhere, or does anyone have it who could forward it to me? Thanks!

Generating pdf file from crystal report

I don't know much about the overall stability of the v8 patch, but I've been using it for a few months now and haven't come across any problems. The reports I'm exporting are fairly straightforward though, there are no formulas etc. in the design. It might be worth having a look at it and...

    Entered Credential Information Is Incorrect?????

Can't help you I'm afraid, but I thought I'd let you know that you're not alone with this one! We get the same message from time to time, but, as with your situation, it's not consistent. We have the "Use local username...." box ticked like you. It tends to happen more often to users...

    Crystal and Citrix

Can't really help you, but I had something similar recently with running Crystal with Citrix. Every time I tried to open a report it would hang then crash the server. All other users could open them fine at first, then one or two started to get the same problem. Our I.T. guys tried all the...

Crystal Reports crashes Citrix server for one user

Ok, I'll pass this on to the guys who work directly with the server, but I think the decision to remove Crystal from the server has been taken (not purely because of this problem though.) Thanks for your help, I'll post again if anything changes.

Print Engine Error when opening .exe

Ok thanks; I'll have a look into the Goldmine reporting next week and let you know how I get on.

Print Engine Error when opening .exe

We only have a limited number of licenses though; if opening a report through Goldmine actually opens Crystal as an aplication then I don't think it would be suitable for us as we want quite a few users to be able to open and refresh reports without using up a license.

Print Engine Error when opening .exe

Stop the presses! I just managed to successfully compile an exe and print it, both saved and refreshed - not sure what I did that I didn't do last time, but it works. Out of interest, we're extracting data from Goldmine 5 (dBASE) and compiling reports as .exe files to send to users without...
