Not to put you down horrid, but it's just that this forum isn't labelled (novice to advanced director), it's just 'Director'. All sorts of people will have all sorts of problems. Directing them (no pun intended) to the appropriate tutorials or resources is the least you can do.

I might be mistaken, but I think you can do this with DIVS. Since DIVS work well in both netscape and IE, perhaps looking into this might be a good idea. ----------------------------------------

Ok... the background attribute for table cells is VERY precious to me as I've used it in almost 100% of the pages I've created. I was horrified to see that it ISN'T supported within XHTML 1.0
Is there any way around this? Or a way to 'cheat' possibly? I just want to get it to work...
All I can think of is to use javascript to control where the user will go after hitting a certain key. Why not try that out, then it will work the same in IE AND Netscape.
I've done this before so if you need the code, let me know. ----------------------------------------

With ASP, I just call my include files .inc files.
It works perfectly. Calling pages .txt and .html is when you start to run into problems.

What are the differences? I mean.... MAIN differences. I've been told a hundred different things from a bunch of people and I've looked at it myself.
Please clear things up for me if you can. ----------------------------------------

Or <td background="image.gif">...Content...</td> ----------------------------------------

That's using CSS-P or CSS Version 2 if I'm not mistaken. If you can, try to use divs to position content instead of CSS. I've found they're much more flexible and work in a somewhat similar fashion.
Someone else might have a fix, but that's my solution :)...
Netscape and IE read that value differently. Be careful. Different versions of different browsers use either hide or hidden. It just depends on whether you want to build functionality for both, or just code for a certain audience. ----------------------------------------

Create a simple slider (using the constraint command width two or more sprites) and attach the slider to the scrolling window containing the links you want to be clickable.
The limitatations of the slider will limit the scrolling window accordingly. ----------------------------------------...
How does it work? A treat? Hehe... HAHAHA hohoho bwhahaha... ----------------------------------------"I got a fevah... and the only prescription is more cowbell!"
Yeah, using 100% attributes is the only way. By default, any content you put within the <td> will be centered vertically within the table. If you want content DEAD center, use <td align="center"> as well.
Within a page, if I want it to be 'stuck' to the top left of the screen and get rid of page margins I typically use marginheight="0", marginwidth="0", etc...
HOW do you do this in XHTML since it obviously isn't proper code.
Also, for some reason you can't have background...
