In a page with layers on it with text on them, and links elsewhere on the page which activate which layer is visible - all works fine, except that when the page first loads, all the layers are briefly visible before they become hidden - resulting in a messy area of text where all the layers clash. How do I stop the layers being visible when they first load?

Did you set the default value of the layers to hidden?

Please post what you have for code so far or post a link to the page in question.

Thanks - I had set the value to hide, not hidden!

Netscape and IE read that value differently. Be careful. Different versions of different browsers use either hide or hidden. It just depends on whether you want to build functionality for both, or just code for a certain audience. ----------------------------------------
