The best work around for the ** cell problem is to have your voice mail CALL your cell phone for new messages. I think (I hope I am right??) that when it calls you, you will not have to hit the ** but it just asks for your mailbox number and password. For some reason, I have all kinds of...
Caller ID info is sent between the 1st and 2nd ring. If Auto Attendant is set to answer on 0 or 1 ring, you will never receive the Caller ID info. Set AA to anser on 2nd ring or higher and it should work fine.
I don't know anything about these sites, but they may be a place to start.

The answer to your question is BUG.
Are you using 6.1 software on a CICS? If so, the operator transfer into IRAD does not work. Until Nortel fixes the problem the only way to get into the IRAD on 6.1 is to use the LINE ANSWER. Have to change the IRAD programming to answer a specific line. Then...

That StarTalk unit - is it the big boat anchor with the whole side cover that comes off to access the port jack?
If so - try connecting to the serial port on the side just to see if the internals are working. Try 4800-baud and N-8-1 for data. Just a thought.
If you find a MICS or CICS but nobody has the password for it, can you put a NEW RAD on it and leave the password blank and get into the system to change the INSTALLER Password (or the main password)? ??
OR
Can you put a Programmed RAD on a system and access the RAD with the know password of...
I have had twice in the last month, a customer gets a used Norstar from their headquarters. After installing and powering on, I find that someone has changed the password.
Anyone know of a FEATURE CODE and password that will reset the password back to CONFIG? ( this is not the voice mail reset...
To find a Nortel Vendor in your area you can call Nortel at 800-4-NORTEL and then try to figure out which menu buttons to push. You can also try their web site at: http://www38.nortelnetworks.com/nn/locator/
