Hi ya'll!
Your help is kindly appreciated in trying to figure this Hotmail behavior. Once i enter my username & password and hit [Enter], I get the following message:
!!HTTP/1.0 302 Redirected Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.0 Date: Tue, 24 Sep 2002 00:46:43 GMT P3P:CP="BUS CUR CONo FIN IVDo ONL...
Hi ya'll!
First of all, thanks in advance for your time and assistance!
While designing a tblProducts table, we stumbled at the fact that the pkProductID primary key field follows either a default "8#-######" format or an "NS8#-######", for example, 81-234567 &...
RaffiqEddy:
How 'bout building a table for each particular language? That way, you could, as Hasse pointed out, use a query, with/or Case and CaseElse functions, to "translate" the word, passage, etc from one language to another. This is making the assumption that you just want to...
Irumd,
First of all, you could look at this particular situation as having two big choices to choose from: either you could get something out of it or ... get something out of it (you are smart enough to figure out what I mean).
Secondly, this mezz is based on many assumptions!
On the...
An update:
As suggested, it IS burried in the registry - when you have the time and drive to go huntin'! Under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\Auto Complete the value of the "Use AutoComplete" should read "yes" [sans the quotes] for the keyboard...
Karmafree,
Thanks for your reply. Sorry to say it did nothing to re-activate the [C]+[E] "http:// ... .com" kb shortcut. It has something to do with the registry, yet still looking for the key to unlock it!
Peace [yingyang]
Hi ya'll,
Short, straight & 2 da point: How do one goes about re-enabling the keyboard shortcut for "http:// ... .com" [Control]+[Enter]? Specs: Win98SE, IE6, etc. "Repairing" IE6 did nothing, as well as a quick registry tour. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in...
jazzbo,
if you're comfortable tweaking the registry, you can have your Favorites, Program Files, and company sorted out alpha for once.
Go to Start|Run|type "regedit" (sans quotes)|hit [Enter] and look for...
fmientjes:
The information you stated about your particular problem is too limited. Please detail your situation thoroughly so we can assist you. What kind of info? Info like: which version of IE?; what do you do before the error shows up? [you did mentioned that it happens many times]; did...
Greetings to y'all:
Having a network running concurrently NetWare & NT with NetBEUI, IPX/SPX and TCP/IP as TPs on Win98SE machines here @ work provides for one heck of a ride! On some PCs, everytime O2k is opened IE6 will not run. Same goes if IE6 is opened: O2k will not budge! To make...
SCS_Tech,
A few weeks ago, I ran into a similar problem. What did the trick? Installed the cab files into c:\windows\options\cabs, then began the Win98SE from there. This of course, has helped me in many ways. In safe mode, you can access the hard drive and do some extracting if needed...
ozispimp,
Look into Tools|Internet Options|Security|Trusted Sites and uncheck Require server...Also, under Privacy move the bar button up or down to activatte the Default bottom. Then hit Default|Ok. Finally go to Programs|Reset Web ...|Ok. Get out of Internet Options, close all instances of...
This jus in (follow up on KaZaa): read the article on this link to learn the idea behind the spyware(?) behind KaZaa. It also mentions Morpheus. Nobrain and I were not the only ones to note it!
http://msn.com.com/2100-1105-873416.html
Just a follow up: after updating the Ad Aware 5.7 files (877kB freeware,http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stories/info/0,10615,63806,00.html) and rescanning the hard drive, it did show that spyware (from doubleclick) was indeed lurking deep within. And before KaZaa, no spyware had been detected...
kwunder,
a few suggestions: 1- uninstall Flashget completely, including a registry check up; 2- reset the Security & Privacy tabs under IE Tools; 3- clean your temp files [don't delet temp folder { :-) }], etc., and reboot. Please follow this thread and let us know how it went.

deebeetoo,
Let me add my two cents. PopUp Killer, as well as other popup ad removers, will not let you view a page once it is flagged as a popup ad. In fact, PUK can close a page without you even noticing! This prog, and sure the others, will let you play with the settings and give you more...
guys,
following nobrain's I ran Lavasoft's Ad Aware (free download)
http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/stories/info/0,10615,63806,00.html
and found no instance of KaZaa spyware. If you find one using a different sniffer, let me know. Also, Hank55, try Start|Find|Files or Folders, type in...
cdogg,
you're right about "regardless of OS". Oddly enough, every PC at work and friends' PCs (all Win9X) do keep the history and related files in the same drive! No wonder some have been caught off guard for not doing their cleaning chores right! Don't blame me! [thumbsup]
nobrain,
you know what you're talking about! That's exactly the meaning of the warning. True that there is a virus that does "violate" the "default" web page of many browsers. Yet, I certainly agree with your opening remark!

swat,
easy with this registry hack: Start|Run type "regedit"(no quotes)|click "OK". Once the editor is opened, do Ctrl+F, type "FullScreen" (again, no quotes), click "Find Next" and after a few moments, in the l-window is the key...
