Could be a chooser thing with the appletalk being off and all that. OS9 did tend to reset itself after a desktop rebuild or PRAM zap. Hope this leads you in the right direction...

It is a no brainer for sharing more than just the home directory. If you are not concerned about what is shared then it is fine but you can also limit it.

I'm assuming OSX for this. If you go to the Printer Setup Utility (Panther) or Print Center/Centre (Jaguar) and delete all the printers that are showing. That should get rid of the network printers. Then add your printer and make it the default. Hope this helps.

Thankyou very much sorry I didn't expand on my earlier post but I was dog tired. Got caught myself a few years ago after a catalogue came back from the printers. Luckily you had to use a glass to see it so B/S'ed my way through it and got paid.
