Phaser 8400: double images & exit jams

Don't forget to order the grease,Rheolube 768 grease PN:006-7997-00, to apply onto the pivot plate. The grease goes onto the 2 metal plates and where the top part of the plate makes contact with the shaft. j

Phaser 8400: double images & exit jams

The pivot plate could be cracked. Many of the white color plates will crack, the new pivot plates are black color. Once the plate is cracked, the oil roller doesn't oil the drum properly and causes the image to stick to the drum. J

    Phaser 8400 smearing ink randomly

There a cheap fix to this blurry problem. Oil from the bushing is driping onto the encoder disk on the drum assy. Removed the clear plastic cover and clean the oil from the encoder disk and the sensor if necessary. If that does not fix the problem then the drum is required. j

    Phaser 8400 smearing ink randomly

I'm not sure this is the same problem but I'm working on a Phaser 8400 with blurry print. When the printer prints the the letter "A" for example, the shape of the letter "A" is printed 3 times, about 2mm below the first one and then 2mm below the second "A". Sounds like a y-axis problem...

Phaser 860 - Jams - Front/top cover - related to Rapid Release Guide?

Risasi. Did this error come up before servicing? To check, you can print out the usage profile and look at the engine error log and jam error log. But it sounds like the drum maintenance clutch is bad. If it was 30 degrees Farenheight, did you wait for the printer to warm up before turning...

Phaser 860 - Jams - Front/top cover - related to Rapid Release Guide?

The maintenance drawer and the maintenance kit is totally diferent. The maintenance kit contains an oil roller and a counter and is installed in the maintenance drawer. The end of life maintenance kit could be causing some of your jamming problem because it' not oiling the drum causing the...

Phaser 860 - Jams - Front/top cover - related to Rapid Release Guide?

One other thing is to check the rapid release guide blade, make sure that it's not damaged or is curved. Andrew

Phaser 860 - Jams - Front/top cover - related to Rapid Release Guide?

Have you check the solenoid on the upper right side. The arm on the solenoid latches on to a white cam. There's a black pad on the solenoid that gets gummy and sticky, this causes the arm to not release quick enough to latch on to the cam. put a thin piece of tape over the pad will solve your...

    Phaser 7750 faded print

I'm working on a phaser 7750 with faded print on the top 3 inches of a letter size page when printing the cyan test page. The other colors are ok. The image on the drum looks good, I thinking it might be the transfer roller in the accumulator belt. Anyone seen this problem before? Andrew

Problem removing maintenance drawer Phaser 850DP.

The right drawer guide might be broken. There is a black arm that drops down and latches the maintenance drawer in place. With a paper clip bent at 90 degrees, insert the clip through the open slots where the drawer guide attaches to the frame and try to push the black arm so that it unlatches...

Phaser 740 Jam at C, Jam at D, Jam at E

Hello, The part # for the lower pickup roller(2 rubber roller on shaft) is 116-0272-00, the upper pickup roller PN is 401-0813-01. The error codes posted earlier points to the solenoid assy. If you push the lever up to the solenoid and it's not sticking to the pad at all then it's probably ok...

Phaser 740 Jam at C, Jam at D, Jam at E

It sound like you need pickup rollers, they're worn out cleaning will only last a few pages. The Lower exit pivoting guide(blue guide) with the arm PN:351-1016-00. Check the solenoid lever on the upper right side it may be sticking to the pad and not releasing. Andrew

A/A4 media problem. Check media and the plug on the right side of paper tray. Check the feed roler assy with the sensor board on the right side. The sensor arms and flags maybe damaged or bentor the sensor faulty. One time I had one of the flag developed a cut mark and was catching the paper...
