Thanks so much for responding. I've seen this. The completely odd thing is, MS offers the OCT to create customization for your deployment, and yet when you push it out through group policy it completely ignores the msp file. We've tried everything to force the install to read the...
One more bump to see if anybody can help. You can deploy office using Group Policy, but can not customize it. So basically it does NOT work.
I'm asking if anyone has successfully deployed it some other way, and if so how. Or if anyone has heard of a 3rd party program that will allow you to...
Did I post this in the wrong forum? Do I need to find another forum to try and find answers?
Suggestions is all I need, has anyone successfully deployed Office 2007 with customizations, if so please share.
We are NOT pushing out Vista yet, but we ARE going to push out Office 2007. After testing, it will not work using GP if you want to customize, and we DO.
Can anybody suggest a 3rd party software that will enable us to deploy office 2007 using customization, and enable us to REMOVE previous...
Bump. Thought I would also mention that I went into folder options, file types and removed anything that used this program other than the dwg extension. Didn't help.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
She has to print hundreds per day, my job is to make that as easy on her as possible. I have not been able to figure it out, so I'm trying to see if anyone here can help.
Thank you, but I need to get it back where she can just type the file name and print, file name and print, file name and...
That is correct. For example, she could type 6500-024 and it would pull up the drawing, print it...then she could type 4200-555 and it would pull up....etc. If you looked at the "files of type" then it probably would just say .dwg. Now she has to type 6500-024.dwg, and if you look at...
We use a free cad viewer program called Volo View. Some of the people in the plant use this to view cad drawings. A particular user does this all day, printing out dwg's and distributing them. She has been able to click file open, type the drawing number (without the .dwg ext) and pull it up...
I have found that some of the programs we use, can only be run by "power user" level....anything below that will not work. This gives them the ability to run programs, but not install them.
Well, I don't know what happened. We could remote to any computer in the company. After we recabled (new switches, new subnets) we did change everybodys ip address to reflect the new subnet. The weird thing is some of them updated fine, the majority seemed to drop their client into some...
My feelings are getting hurt.....nobody has answered me. Since I posted this I went into SMS Administrator and network discovery and added all the new subnets, told it to go out and discover.......but this hasn't helped.
anybody?
We recabled our entire company and added several new subnets, and now you can't remote to most workstations. Is there some way "from the server" to update the information without having to go to each workstation and reload the sms client?
Let me add, when you try to remote.....it...
Here is a bit of info that might help:

Depending on what version IE you have, you could try an uninstall/reinstall with a registry edit to see if that reset it back to supv.
One thing you can try if you haven't already, is delete the printer, go to the registry to local machine\software\ look for the HP folder (be sure it's the printer, hope you don't have a Hewlett Packard computer) and delete this folder.
Unplug your printer and reboot, let windows load and then...
