One of the students in the schools lab entered a password into the content advisor in internet explorer. Of course we dont know WHICH student did it so we cant find the password.
The computer is now useless when it comes to anything on the internet. Is there anyway to reset the password, or to bypass it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Dave Presley

Log on to the PC locally , or as an administrator. This setting is tied to the user who set the password. So try logging on as a different user, deleting the profile of the user who set up this password and you just need to reconfigure your proxy settings then and your away. If you do not have another username then you need to create a new user in the administrators group.

FANTASTIC! I'll let ya know what i find!

Thanks,
Dave

YAY!!! Thanks a lot.. I was worried i was going to have to re-install win2k. Deleting the user worked perfectly.
